5% Senior Citizen Disount on all moves
I moved from Ann Arbor to Ypsilanti. They were able to get me in quickly. They were polite, fast and listened well. They were fairly careful with my belongings, they are men so I can't blame them for not using soft hands at all time. Only one glass broke and I think it was from my own packing. They wrapped things I said to and careful with all the boxes I told them to be. All in all, I would use them again happily.
I have temporaily moved and willl be using CMC Transporation for the job. They wrapped, loaded, tagged and inventoried each piece of my belongings. Rodney noted the condition of the furniture on the inventory sheet & I was given a copy. Once loaded it was moved to the storage facility where it will remain until I am ready for them to deliver it to my final destination. I obtained quotes and CMC was very reasonably priced for all that I needed done. The crew was very respectable and hard working the entire time. Right now I would recommend the company for your moving needs.
These guys were very helpful when my fiance, our dog, and I decided to move out of a 2 bedroom apartment into our new home about 30 miles away on a cold, windy, and rainy day.
The only work we did was pack everything in boxes and organized them for the movers. CMC did the rest. We had plenty of large items such as sofas and bedroom sets, and none of these arrived at the new house damaged. Of course there were some small things that retained damage - such as a stand-up lamp and desk drawer - but anyone knows that bulk moving typically bring damages to possessions, and these were minor. The big items also included some delicate antique furniture were all wrapped in blankets securely which protected everything nicely. I didn't even find any markings on the walls in the new home around the entryways where the furniture and such was carried through.
But overall, CMC came through and made the moving experience that much less stressful for us. The price was fair - around $700 in 7 hours. I was thankful for all the hard work they put forth. When everything was all said and done, everything we had was in the new home; nothing was lost in transport and we were happy with everything in the end. During unpacking, I found nothing missing; these gentlemen were very trustful. I was pleased that I ran into this company to do the move for us. Thank you guys!
Excellent Experience .. moved a 4 bedroom house from Northville to Farmington hills in 8 hours only.
I recommend those tough guys to help with your move ..
I Made the call to request service the night before and they showed up on time last Sunday... Very careful and honest crew and they don't waste time....

I would like to thank the staff at CMC for an outstanding job. During one of the most difficult times in my life having to move they made things easier for me and my family. The staff was very friendly and most of all patient with me. Set-up was done in a timely manner. Thank you again for a job well done
Very professional highly trained workforce – We recently relocated from Ann Arbor Mi , to Fort lauderdale Fl. and had to begin new emploment on December 9, 2010 and wanted to select a company that was licenses and insured with the capability of packing our fragile , breakable , and valuable belonging . We were proud we selected CMC transportation, from the beginning stage of or move ,A sales representitive by the name of Rodney campbell was sent to our home to estimate the weight of of goods . aswell the packing cost.and reasured a gauranteed cost , infact" we were even assured pickup date to or satifaction, and delivery within 7 days as promised, after ultlizing CMC transportation we would recomend this company to any one , after all their are a lot of rogat movers out there . that say what they can do! but don't stand up to it, after all said ,we had one damage claim, but the company did compensate to our satisfaction.
CMC turned out to be a good choice – We needed a quick hire of a truck to get my daughter here from northern michigan. Rodney was friendly and gave us a price that was competitive with others. Note that all of the moving companies use regulated moving prices so price is not the difference in companies. Our stuff arrived in good shape and they went out of their way to get the furniture and boxes into place with lots of requests from us on the sidelines. I feel like a hired a different company than others are mentioning here. We had a good experience - we did end up paying a bit more than we first thought but we had also estimated the weight through an online quote system and the difference was our fault. Also - I haven't met a mover that smelled good yet. :)
Horrible Experience with CMC – Contracted for a move July 2009. Was overcharged and CMC refuses to give refund even now. Terribly unprofessional but excellent at misrepresenting facts and trickery. A couple of 'crew' members had terrible body odor and there was one that made me scared to be in the same room with (no kidding!).
I Regret Not Posting This Sooner – I had utilized CM&S to store a small amount of furniture that was initially intended to be stored for a short period of time. 5 years and over 3k later, I finally was ready to get my stuff. I guess my first mistake was thinking that after 5 years of payments that where NEVER ONCE late, I would be treated with at the very least, some respect... man was I wrong. The day of the delivery the movers said I needed to pay in full (roughly 1k) before they even begin to unload the truck. I guess you could fault me somewhat for agreeing to this, but I know my thinking at the time was that they have my stuff, and I've already spent more in storage fees than this stuff is worth. So now, money paid in full, I was really stuck with any problems, and boy were they just about to start.
For starters, more than half my furniture was missing. I immediately called Rodney and he told me that Saturday's are his day with this son and that he wasn't going to be able to do anything about it until Monday. I pointed out to him that I just paid in full, and that part of that agreed transaction was that I have my furniture delivered today, he pretty much said, "Sorry, that's our policy". Once all the furniture that was delivered, two items were damaged while in storage and a third was damaged during delivery. I was told by the movers to file a claim, so I did. It took 2 weeks to finally get the claim paperwork from them. The paperwork indicated it took 120 days for review (what a joke). I patiently waited to only have Rodney tell me it was reviewed and denied. When I asked how it can possibly be denied when the furniture was obviously damaged by them, he just repeated himself again and again (finally just telling me "tough luck"). It was at this point that I called him out and told him that he never planned to reimburse me, did he? He just responded, "Yeah, well, what are you going to do about it?" I would love to take legal action, does anyone want to join me? This guy needs to pay.
