Really great mexican food – I too am surprised anyone can say they didn't like it. Most Mexican places are a bit less clean than your traditiional restaraunt, but you look a bit past that. They have the BEST Salsa of anywhere, get the hots chips, you won't be disappointed. I love the Combo, 2 Tacos, Tostada, Cheese Enchilada, swap the Tomalie for Been&Cheese Burrito add some jalapeno's, a huge meal. Also, they have the best Spanish Rice of anywhere I've had. Compared to many other Detroit Mexican places, this is tops.

Poor – I am sorry that I went here. First it is a dirty restaurant, everything about it is dirty tables, floor, silverware. It took forever to be served. The mexican food is terrible.I can get better taco's from Taco Bell. These were lukewarm and tasted like they had been warmed up in the micowave. Someone who came with me got the fish and chips and they said it tasted very good, much better than my mexican meal. Save your money and go someplace else for better mexican food.

GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE!!!!! – I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE A BAD REVIEW! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS. I WILL ADMIT THAT I HAD TO GET USE TO PAYING FOR THE CHIPS AND I DO HATE THE PARKING OR SHOULD I SAY LACK OF, BUT OTHER THAN THAT THE FOOD IS GREAT, MY FAVORITE THING IS THE MEXICAN SANDWICH W/ PORK & CHEESE ALL OVER IT. ALSO I LOVE THE COLE SLAW. I ATE HERE TWICE A WEEK WHILE I WAS PREGNANT AND EVEN HAD MY BABY SHOWER IN THEIR BACK ROOM, OUR SERVER WAS GREAT, SHE EVEN HELPED US DECORATE. BELEIVE ME...I'VE TRIED A LOT OF MEXICAN PLACES IN THE AREA AND THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Mexican food – Like some of the others, I'm surprised with the negative reviews. This place packs people in all the time, they have great food and service. I've been going their for about 25 years.

Worst Food and Service in Detroit - Hands Down! – Just got back from this place. Started out waiting for chips and drinks - took forever! Then the 'trick' question, "do you want warm chips?" - which means "do you want to pay for chips?" What Mexican restaurant doesn't give chips out? Rediculous. The the waitress asks leading questions and unbeknowngst to us, nickel and dimed us for cheese and sour cream. Then we get the bill and see that she charged us dinner prices instead of lunch prices. The best part was paying the bill. when we asked about the extra charges, the guy behind the counter says in a snippy tone "well if you would have looked at the menu, you would have known!" - unbelievable. Even better, I think the snip at the counter was actually a manager or the owner.... nice.

Almost should have known... on the way into the place I saw a sign that proudly hangs over their counter that reads "The bank doesn't make tacos - and we don't cash checks!!" - kind of sums it up right there.

So besides the extra greasy food and poor service, this would be great place to eat! Or maybe I will just go to Taco Bell next time.

best drink in town at good prices – Mexican fiesta is a great place. I have been coming here and sitting at the bar for years. They have the best top shelf margaritas i ever had and i have been to five different cities in mexico. They use 1800 tequila, cointreau and grand marnier....a good amount too...for only 7.75. At applebees they are probably 12.00 with half the liquor. The two other drinks that are untopable are their long islands and spanish coffees that they light on fire. Also very inexpensive. The staff is great. They are down to earth people who will do whatever they can to please you. The bartenders are great. If it isn't extremely busy they will serve a full menu at the bar. Scotty and Miguel are my favorite and i recommend them to make the drinks i listed...Oh forgot about the food...Its Great! Fajitas are my fav.

Don't waste your time or money. – This restaurant is a poor excuse for mexican food. First impression walking in is that it is dirty. I should have turned around and made this my last, but I am often too critical according to my husband. My final impression is that this place is filthy! We had to sit at the bar because the locals wait indefinently it seems for a table. The bartender that served us was smoking cigarettes behind the bar. He never washed his hands before serving us. Furthermore, he finished off the left over drinks that he was mixing. I have to wonder if the owners are paying off people, because this place doesn't appear to have ever been seen by a health inspector or a member of liquour review board. The food. Disgraceful. With Mexican Town just about 15 minutes down the freeway, it would have been a smarter trip. The salsa (somewhat chunky) is served in containers that maple syrup is served in. You can barely get anything out. We ordered a combination plate and enchilada dinner. Everything was dry! The tamale didn't even resemble one, It looked like it was scraped off of someone else's plate. We had to ask for clean silverware (dirty silverware was rolled up in our napkins). Oh, and there is a charge for chips & salsa at this place. You are not told about this when ordering. I have never been to a mexican restaurant and been charged for chips & salsa. It's not even worth it. I would highly discourage anyone from trying this place. Del Taco across the street would have been better.

One of My Favorite Restaurants – The bad reviews about this place below remind me of the time I took my grandma out to dinner here. She had never been to Mexican Fiesta before and liked Mexican food, but said she hated it after we went. She looked at the menu, asked about one of the entres, and then decided on stir fry. When she got her food she took a bite and was disgusted. I asked her what was wrong and she said it didn't taste like stir fry. I told her they didn't make oriental food, the stir fry was Mexican. She didn't expect authentic Mexican food. When the waitress came by to ask how our food was, she let her know that she was very displeased. The waitress tried to recommend another dish, but my grandma was rude after tasting the stir fry. The waitress no longer went out of her way to help, and I don't blame her. I think the food here is excellent and I've been here probably 25 times. I've never seen the staff acting rude in any way, and my order was never wrong. The people who say the staff was rude must have been very nasty in the first place.

I CAN'T BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS – I'm a little surprised at all of the negative reviews of this restaurant. I must admit I have not been there in about 9 months, but I used to go quite often and always loved their beef and cheese enchiladas and cole slaw. I never seemed to have any problems with the waitstaff

that I can recall. I think their prices are reasonable. Now that I'm thinking about it while

I'm hungry, I think I'll go tomorrow.
