This place is second to none in BAD!!! Service, they are completely inconsistent with quotes
I was involved in an accident with my business truck and the police at the scene called them,
they got there quick, 5 minutes later smelling money and hooked me up, I never experienced
being towed too a impound yard before, therefore I didn't what was coming next, or I would have called my own Tow company and paid too have towed to my hometown 25 miles away.
( thought I was saving $$$ going close by ) Once they get you in there lot "You are literally at there mercy" it's like vehicle prison. Naturally you are in a frame of mind that is already bad considering you were involved in a accident, then they hit you with there inconsistent rates
When I called the next morning they informed me it is $155.00 total, and I need to show up personally with cash and for every day it's $10.00 for storage, no problem ( the next day was Easter Sunday, so I decided I would pay the extra $10.00 $165.00 total. I called Monday
so I could have them add the towing charge too a nearby Collision shop 3 miles away, ( coincidentally you can use a outside towing service, because they charge triple the amount
to allow your vehicle out of there prison yard. ( " so your stuck with them " ) So I go in with cash
and they include they charged me $165.00 for the initial lock up ( Storage ) and charged $55.00 for the trip 3 miles away to the collision shop, Ok so far so good, got the receipt, they said they would be dropped off in about an hour, well it didn't get towed until the next day,
keep in mind everyday counts when you don't have a vehicle.
So I call them the next day, and they inform me they made a mistake, and dropped it to the wrong location, about 8 miles farther away, and did apologize for that, after that they said it would be in an hour, and they would call, "well they didn't:", the collision place called informing me they hit him up for an additional $65.00, so he paid it not knowing what I had worked out with Westland Care prison, so I called for an explanation and they told me it was because of the trip too the Collision shop, they would not budge on there additional charge, and screwed
me out of another $65.00 with there scamming ways, I hope the place closes up, theyr'e
stupid wastes of human life, and don't deserve any business from anyone.
what a great company – i just wanted to say that westland car care towing is a great company and id recommend them to everyone. i slid off the road during a rain storm and got stuck. a westland car care tow truck had seen this happen and pulled up and asked if i needed any help, i told them that i had aaa and they were more than helpfull and had me unstuck and back on the road within mins.
Worst Service Ever imagined!!!!! – If you are looking to experience a bad service, use Westland car care towing....I do not recommend this towing company to anyone at all.....drivers are so unfriendly and inconsiderate.
Top Notch Service! – After hitting the "Monster Pot Hole from HELL" Westland was dispatched to rescue my now trashed Saturn. Not only did they tow but they repaired my car in less then 24 hour's.
Will continue to use their service;s for all my friend's and family alike.
Good fast tow service. – I was slammed by a maniac in an huge F-150 on I-75 during morning rush hour.My car a little Scion was destroyed in back.Westland Car Care Towing arrived 20 minutes after I called.Got me and the car out before another madman hit us.The body shop handled the damage through AAA and restored it back to it's previous condition in 6 days.Good job and thank you.
Worst Customer service EVER – I called tonight asking for a tow and was virtually laughed at and told they couldn't do it...not sure why they are in the towing business if they can't tow. Will never call them again.
Never showed up, left me stranded – I called my automobile roadside assistance service for a tow, and they said a tow truck would arrive between 40 - 70 minutes. 75 minutes later, the towing company dispatcher called me to say they were on their way and would be another 30 minutes. A few minutes after that, roadside assistance called to see if my tow truck came, and I informed them of the call I just received. They told me to call them back if the tow truck didn't arrive. I called back three times, every 30 minutes, and each time roadside assistance called the towing company, who kept saying it'd be 30 minutes, 30 minutes, and then finally saying they weren't going to make it. Elapsed time that I spent in my broken car, at night, in below-freezing temperatures of 10F, was 3 hours.
I called this morning to give management at Westland Car Care the opportunity to make the situation right, and was given the runaround by the receptionist, who did not give me her name and would not connect me to a manager. She claimed that I told roadside assistance to cancel the tow truck 90 minutes after the initial call, and argued with me when I explained to her that this was not what happened at all. When I asked why I would cancel a tow truck if I was still stranded in my car, and why roadside assistance would take three more calls from me in the meantime (do we assume they were pretending to call Westland Car Care to check up on the ETA?), she went on a rant about how this was a problem I would have to address with roadside assistance, not with them.
She said that could try to tow my car this morning, but it would be a 2-3 hour wait. No apology, no remorse, and no consideration. She did say that because I was in a safe place and not injured, other calls took priority--when I asked why I wasn't told this last night, she said that she didn't work last night and couldn't answer. My repeated requests to speak to a manager were declined.
If they couldn't provide service, they should have simply said so. I would have then had the opportunity to find a reliable, reputable company who could be bothered to fulfill their commitment.
