Don't bother....
I went in to Iris Fashions in Ferndale this morning because I recently moved to the area and like to support local business. I needed a dress hemmed for a wedding and the review posted by fashionfashionista was glowing.
I entered the store shortly after they opened, and walked to the back where a man was reading his lottery tickets. I stood patiently for at least 2-3 minutes without any acknowledgement from this person. As I stood and observed the shop it was beyond disorganized - FILTHY DIRTY is more accurate. Debris all over the carpet and 2 beige, heavily soiled, sofas. "Stuff" everywhere. The dresses that I could see on the wall appeared to be quite lovely.
I finally turned to leave and as I reached the exit the man finally said "can I help you?" I said no thank you as I carried my dress back to my car and on to Royal Oak to Rembrandt Tailor's. They greeted me immediately, measured my hem, and I was on my way.
I have owned a small business and realize that everything is not always as is should be, BUT - you have to acknowledge your customer!! I hope they read this review at Iris Fashions and clean up their act - literally.
If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Superb, friendly, quality, fast service!!!.
I went to Iris' Fashions to shop for a wedding gown, and dresses for my bridal party.
I met Linda there. She was knowledgeable, and very sweet. She told me and my bridal party our measurements just by looking at us, and then measured and she was DEAD ON!!! It was amazing. She had thousands of dresses to choose from and all of them were beautiful. The shop isnt in the best condition, but the service, and choices of dress bypassed the look of the shop. I would recommend Iris' Fashions to anyone!! A+++++
