Yummmm in the tummmmmm. I have been a very happy customer at China Ruby over the years and I love it! They have wonderful Asain dishes including curry and cashew chicken(which I prefer with tofu!!) Tina is one of the owners and she is so accomodating and knows her customers by name. The menu is very affordable, with avg prices for a meal around $6-7...Everything is great including the Hot and Sour soup, Crab Rangoon, and delicious Egg Rolls! Each table has various sauces handy like duck sauce and soy of course. Don't forget to grab your fortune cookie to see what wonderful surprises life has in store for you!! N'Joi!

Delicious Chinese Food Fast. Yum! Such delicious egg rolls, chop suey, fried rice, and other dishes. Very friendly, and the service is fast. Not fancy, but sometimes you just want good food in a casual setting, or great takeout. The only thing I would change is to have the menu include steamed brown rice and not just white or fried rice. You can't go wrong here with any of the dishes though.

The Only Chinese Place for Me!. You have to admit that when they know who you are after only ordering a couple times it makes you feel special. I have always heard about China Ruby before I moved to the area from some friends of mine but I never had a change to eat there. Once I did I was hooked. I only get the same thing everytime but it's so good that I eat the whole dinner. I never the whole anything when I have a meal. So definitely the best chinese place in town.

GREAT LITTLE HOLE IN THE WALL. I just love this little hole in the wall. The owners are wonderful and do care. Once in a blue moon my son will go and he gets a dish with extra water chestnuts and the owner always remembers. The food is excellent and very reasonable.

Close your eyes... And enjoy the food!. Place is a dive. Seriously, a dive. But they have the best staff and food in town. The dumplings (potstickers) are unbelieveable! If you make it through the door to your table, you will be hooked!

Amazing Chinese. What a great restaurant!!! China Ruby is the ultimate in low-key relaxing Chinese Food. Great for Take Out or DIne in, they have a large selection and wonderful prices, for the sizes and quality you get. This is by far my favorite Chinese Restaurant in the area. The people are always friendly and quick!

You can't beat China Ruby for tasty low cost food.. Small, personal restaurant. Very well done basics at an extremely low price. The co owners cook and take orders, respectively, and many of the regulars (and there are many) are known by name and their preferences remembered. China Ruby has consistantly won polls as the best low cost Chinese establishment in the metropolitan area. My personal low cal favorite is Moo Shoo chicken, without pancakes, made with extra pea pods and extra bean sprouts. Wonderful food in a totally low key environment. Very fast service.

The best little Chinese restaurant in Ferndale.. In Short
Nestled between the bookstores and cafes that color Ferndale's Nine Mile Road is this simple and easily overlooked gem. A favorite carry-out destination, China Ruby has only a handful of tables. Yet this small, clean restaurant makes up in delicious food what it might lack in space and inspiring decor. Dishes like yu-shan scallops in garlic sauce and moo shu vegetables with pancakes will satisfy the adventurous.

Very Tasty Chinese Food. Yum! The food here is great, and there is a lot to choose from. It's slightly on the greasy side, and vegetarians shoud beware that the Chinese vegetable soup (like all of the soups here) has chicken stock in it. Other than that, great spring rolls, excellent entree dishes, and friendly service. A great hole in the wall.

2 Thunbs Up. What this retaurant lacks in ambiance it more that makes up for with their cuisine. Wonderfully authentic dishes and prices that can't be beat.
