Great Deal on a great coursel. I visited Blackheath today on my day off. The atmosphere is ultra casual. If you are looking for a country club, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for the finest golf course for the lowest rate, you've found the promise land.

The greens fee was $25 with a cart for 18 holes. The greens and fairways were immaculate. I played from the blues (12 handicap), and had a great time. A couple of blind shots and water on a few holes made things interesting. The heather (tall grass) was cut whilst I was here, but its return would create a challenge even for the best golfer.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The staff even cleaned my clubs at the end of the round.

I've played courses all around the US and the world, and for $25, this is as good as it gets. The same course in my hometown, Los Angeles, would be at least $100. Play eighteen, and spend the 2 bills on a nice dinner and wine afterward.
