Good Sushi! – The employees were very friendly and attentive. Great food, sushi was very fresh! I will definitely go back!
good sushi – I was traveling for business to Rochester, and had a craving for sushi...so I found Take Sushi online and decided to give it a try after reading a few favorable reviews, and I am happy to say that my review is favorable as well.
The only "minus" I can see is the ambiance...Take is in a strip mall, but it takes nothing away from the quality of the food.
We ordered Edemame for an appetizer, which was as expected...fresh and crisp, just a little heavy on the salt for my taste.
For the "main course" I stuck with rolls...California, Crispy, Jello-Shot and Ninja Turtle.
California were simple but very good.
Cripsy could have been a little more crunchy, but were built well and had enough shrimp.
Jello-shot were salmon and cream cheese...I usually try to sample a local roll with cream cheese, and these didn't disapoint.
Ninja Turtle were just for fun...8 rolls arranged to look like a swimming turtle, complete with half cucumbers for the flippers and two octopus "suction cups" for the mask...very creative.
Overall, I give it 4 stars. Wasn't expecting TOO much since we're not too close to the ocean, but Take did a good job. Enjoy!
Good – I think take is a all around good sushi restaurant. lots to choice from at reasonable prices. Give it a shot!
Yummy and affordable! – I decided to take a risk and have Take Sushi cater/supply sushi for my X-Mas dinner with the family. I ordered one of their party trays. The trays were arranged beautifully and everything was amazing! I wanted to change what was included on the tray, (traded in the tuna sahimi with unagi rolls) and they were very accomidating and no extra charge. Also threw in a pair or really nice chopsticks, which I still use to this day.
fastastic – I've been going to Take Sushi since it opened. They've taught me to go from "cooked" things(great wasabi shumai and yam yam rolls) to BBQ eel to toro(fatty tuna) straight sashimi plates. My children, who've lived all over the country, still think Take Sushi is the best and has outstandingly great prices so we always go there when they return to Detroit. The edamame, yam yam roll, spider roll, and tataki appetizer are favorites. Staff is friendly, quick, and informative. Most fun to sit at the sushi bar and watch and ask questions. That way I tried the "spicey" salad with bits of raw tuna in it. Wonderful!
Damnation! – I'm from Doe Run. Down in Doe Run, GA, they don't have sushi. I come up here, and tried Take sushi, even though I didn't wanna. Damnation this stuff is gee-ood! I ain't been ta too many other places for sushi but this gotta be one of the bess. Make sure you try this here fish place, you ain't gonna regret it!
