Very Enjoyable. Totally disagree w/"bad food" review. : ) Very interesting, sorta ecclectic (sp?) interior. Kinda romantic, lots of 2 seater booths, but also great for parties, groups and families. The food is very, very good. I've had a number of different dishes there including seafood alfredo, a classic sausage type thing....I can't remember all of them. HUGE, repeat HUGE servings. All the salad you could eat before your meal. Very friendly and pretty promt service. An overall very enjoyable expirience. I would definately recommend it. Maybe slightly pricey for some, but what restaruant isn't anymore? Great location-as soon as you get off the M-59 exit, right there in front of you.
Friendly service and fantastic Italian fare are the main dishes at this Oakland County gem..
The Scene
At Eastside Mario's patrons are taken to New York's famed Little Italy as soon as they walk through the doors. A giant replica of the Statue of Liberty sits amidst murals that mimic an Italian market square, compete with a butcher shop, a tailor shop, and a miniature Brooklyn bridge. This, along with a courteous wait staff, makes for a fun and festive dining experience.
The Food
There are dozens of Italian classics to choose from, but the Baked Ziti with pomodoro sauce and melted mozzarella cheese really stands out. Zesty without being too spicy, the sauce is the perfect blend of tomato, garlic and other Italian seasonings. The Liberty Pizza is also a treat. Baked in a brick oven, this thin crust pie is loaded with mount-watering melted mozzarella, and it's big enough for two.
