BEWARE...This is not your DADDY's Marcus anymore. NEW OWNERSHIP..they fired all the waitresses who had been there for years and could relate to the clientele. Now it is replaced with one waitress who is limited in American Cuisine and culture. You feel eyes on you from owner/mamager who is old man and paces back and forth like a hockey coach behind the bench. No refills on soda, food is OK but I will never go back...if they wrote a book on how NOW to run a restaurant, this place would be the poster child. Sorry....I will never pass through the 14 mile doors anymore after over 20 years with the current ownership.

Health code violation on cold soup on counter, homade metal bread oven vented to dining room. Dessert display filled with open juice and trash. Strange paper sign over door, trashy looking. Nice tablecloth though. One table asked for peanut butter three times, waitress did not understand english so never brought peanut butter. Old guys walking back and forth not helping, looks like just got out of hospital or something. They could not manage to properly allign my hot turkey sandwinch. But at least it was not as bad as mustard seed restraunt, that served supermarket processed turkey slicces. Looks like no soda refills but still charge full price for soda. Not sure I would go back.

A little rock-and-roll spirit still shines at this homestyle, upscale diner in Sterling Heights. – In Short
Hand-painted murals of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe are the room's main attraction. Couples squeeze together inside kelly-green banquettes looking like a drive-in movie is about to start. Diners rave about the old-fashioned Polish delicacies, like stuffed cabbage and city chicken. But those in the know get the famous Marcus burger, traditionally served in a hot-dog bun with ketchup, mustard, onions and relish.

Marcus hamburgers – A truly unique hamburger...not round, not a coney island loose hamburger. Now people who are too afraid to go to the original Marcus hamburger at Mc. Nichols & Mt. Elliot in Detroit can go to the nicer place at 14 Mile & Ryan in Sterling Heights. New in town and looking for a place the locals go to? Try Marcus!

Grew up w/Marcus – Marcus is a great restaurant all around. My family and I have been eating there for years. Great place for a Sunday breakfast after church. My favorite menu selections include their Chicken Dumpling Soup, their Veggie Pita, and their homemade Periogies. Nice relaxed atmosphere and great friendly service.

Delicious Homestyle – Marcus's is definitely a top notch dining experience.

The atmosphere is comfortable. The service is friendly and fast. The offer a wide variety of dishes from hamburgers to steak. The meals are always fresh, hot, well prepared and delicious. If you like that laid-back, relaxed atmosphere with reasonable prices, good homemade food and friendly service, you need to try Marcus's.
