Closed down!!!!. Don't bother with this restaurant chain! After many years of visiting this location, they have closed down and not even bothered to tell their customers that they did. I always used to go there as I loved the food and the service, but we wernt on their website last night, even phoined them and there was nothing about them being closed at all. We drove all the way from Toledo, OH with 3 young kids and 5 adults only to find a sign on their door informing their EMPLOYEES that they were closed due to the increase in their lease and not wanting to pay it and that they would be paid in full. Didn't even have the courtesy to apologies to their customers!! Absolutely disgusted!

HORRIBLE SERVICE, DO NOT VISIT. The service at this establishment was a complete embarassment to our group. First off we arrived at 4:40 pm on Saturday afternoon and were told 20 minutes for a table. No problem there, 35 ,minutes later i went to inquire about the status of the table and the hostess was very rude and replied " we do not have any tables now but you can go ask a table to leave if you wish". I was appauled at this response and quietly just went back to waiting. After getting seated we get to a table with no silverware and only 6 menus for our party of 8. We went and found our own menus since the staff was unavailable to help us. We waited 13 minutes before a server came by to take our drink order. I am in the restaurant business and this is completely unacceptable.

We receive our drinks and the waiter proceeds to take our orders, at this time it seems like everything is under control.

We receieve our soups and salads in a fair amount of time, however we will do not have any silverware to eat them with, nor do we obviously have any napkins since the silverware is wrapped in napkins. We inquire for silverware and get it within a few minutes. The soups and salad tasted good and no complains about the quality.

The delay between the soups/salads and the entrees was 47 minutes.

We recieved our entrees and the steaks were 1 temperature above ordered, but we ate them and didnt complain. The Fish & Chips were very good however only 1 of the 3 orders of fish and chips actually came with cole slaw. We had to request the cole slaw from our server, which he brought. We also ordered the Tenderloin Beef Stroganoff which was replaced with Venison instead of beef. We had various hunters at our table taste the meat in the stroganoff who all concurrent it was DEFINATELY not beef.

Great Food - Cool Place. I love this place! The food is excellent, the staff is fun and the beer is THE BEST. I had a steak, my friend got pasta - everything was tasty. We used their shuttle service to get to the Piston's game, and it was great. Didn't have to wait forever to get out of the Palace parking lot, and we got an after-game drink and appetizer when we got back (yes, we ate there twice in one day!).

Editorial Review. In a rustic setting, this steakhouse serves up traditional American cuisine as well as a plethora of brews.

Terrible Service. I was very excited to try Big Buck however my boyfriend and I had gone there for an early dinner before a Pistons game at 3:30pm and despite the fact that there were no more then 7 tables in the non-smoking area it still took 40minutes to get even our appetizor. We were offered the wrong appetizor and then about 5 minutes later we were offered ours but not before it had been sitting on someone elses table! The server realized he took it to the wrong place and then offered it to us claiming that no one had touched it. We declined the appetizor even after they offered to make it again but we had already waited 40minutes for that and just wanted to eat, we were starting to run late. Also, a table next to us who was seated 25 minutes after us were already nearly done with their salads and we had not even had a bite to eat yet. So we finally got our dinner and it was great! WHen our check arrived we paid full price. The manager was never aware that we were angry or dissatisfied and we werent offered a discount or even a desert. I am just surprised that since it was so slow, our food came out so late, and the manager was not even aware of what was going on in the restaurant. We are not going back!

Very friendly and enviting!. I went to Big Buck for the first time this past week because I wanted to watch the WORLD CUP. The game started at 10 am but, they don't open their doors until 11 am. The girl who answered the phone was so friendly and inviting. She said that they would be more than happy to open the doors for my group of 20 people at 10 am. Thanks to her and the staff at Big Buck we didn't miss anything. They also have the best burgers I've ever tasted. I definitely go back.

Best Burgers in Michigan!. I eat at Big Buck atleast every other week. I always order either their Buffalo Burger or their Brew Master Burger, they are both awsome. They are very flavorful and juciy. They also have a Venison Reuben thats just as good. It's served on Rye Bread with Saurcraut and 1000 Island Dressing it's incredible. If you haven't been to Big Buck yet, you need to get your butt in there. You will be very full and satified that you did.

New Yorker - Please open in NY, New York.. We read about this restaurant on the front page of the Oakland Press while staying at Townsend Hotel, Birmingham, Mi (Pistons Game). The hotel staff confirmed that the new ownership has infused a high level of energy into the restaurant making it the hottest spot in Michigan. My colleges and I have traveled the world dining at the most amazing culinary and service oriented restaurants and our dinning experience was amazing. We entered (hour and thirty minute wait) to a vibrant staff passing sample beer(s), fruit and cheese tray, wonderful protein samples of meat, etc. During our dining we counted over a thousand dinners and the overall dining experience was unbelievable. Watch out for the homemade beer is delicious; however, strong.
