Great for College students!. Awesome place to eat if youre an OU student, very closet to campus, pretty quick too. Have a great variety of dishs, Highly recommend the Crab Wonton App, and the Coconut Ice Cream is to die for! The food is relatively inexpensive and leaves you plenty of leftovers!
used to be great. been going here for 15 years and this place used to be my favorite but it has gone way downhill. avoid at all costs the food is terrible . chicken has hard things in it and tendons. really sick. must find a new thai place
Excellent Thai food. On a business trip and I went in there 20 mins before closing. They seated me with no problem. The waitress was able to decipher the best menu item for me when I told her I wanted something with coconut milk, curry, spicy, chicken, cashews, and veggies. What came out was exactly what I wanted. Geez, wish I could remember the name of that dish....it was excellent! Probably in my top 5 Thai restaurants ever. Service was attentive and I could understand her just fine. Dinner check came in at $10.50 for dish & water - $13 out the door for one. Definitely would return to eat here again and would order the exact same thing.
Tucked in a strip mall, this Auburn Hills eatery is a hidden find..
In Short
Overflowing with Oakland University students and auto execs during lunch, Taste of Thailand is quiet in the evenings. The wide open dining area is decorated in pastels with black accents. Its menu doesn't stray too far from standard Thai fare, with spring rolls, pad prik, drunken noodles and kaw pode among the dishes served.
great food!. Overall, we loved the food. It seemed authentic. My husband ordered a Special Curry with tofu and I had shrimp with peppers and thai holy basil. The soup, tom yum, was ok. The servings were big so we came home with leftovers. If you ask for spicy hot, expect it to be pretty spicy but not crazy spicy. Also, the place was pretty noisy even though it was not crowded.
Best Thai. This is the best Thai restaurant around -- the service is always friendly, and the food is great. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. My husband and I love the pad thai. I've lived in Bangkok for 9 months so I know authentic Thai food and this is the closest, if not IT. Highly recommended!
