No thanks. I was staying at a local hotel and going to a concert at The Palace. The hoops van picked us up from our hotel as promised and the driver was very nice. The driver ended up being our server and she was great! We had some wings and they were pretty good. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have a good selection. The waitress/ driver was getting off by the time we were ready to go to the concert. She got us some van tickets that would take us to the Palace, then back to the bar, then to our hotel when we were ready. I was so impressed by her service I tipped her 30%. Our bus ride back was fine and we got back to Hoops around midnight. Our new waitress was very poor took forever to get anything we stayed for an hour or so and decided to leave we asked for the tab and I left cash + 15% tip even though her service was less than satisfactory. We went out side to get in the van to go back to our hotel and the van driver stops me and tells me to go back inside and pay my bill. I told him that I did pay and it must be someone else. He blocked me from getting in the van and very rudely ordered me to go back inside. I went inside found my waitress asked what the problem was and she said "oh no its' ok". I told her what was going on and she sd she had sent someone out to let the driver know that it was ok. I did not receive an apology from her or the driver. I was extremely offended that I was wrongly accused of walking out on a $24 check when earlier in the night I had tipped $20 on a $55 check. If the wait staff was able to do their jobs I would have left a happy customer. I will not be returning to Hoops there are sevral other places around that offer similar services.

In the shadow of the mammoth Palace of Auburn Hills, Hoops stands as almost a sports island on Lapeer Road. However, this small building packs a big sports punch. Not only does Hoops have the big-screen TVs and pool tables, on the tabletops of each booth is an individual color TV that can be tuned to the game of choice. Every wall is covered with sports memorabilia from all of the local sports teams.
