Overpriced! NOT WORTH IT!. I was very disappointed and will not return. I was very unhappy with cut, price, staff, etc. BEWARE!

my home away from home!. I was a customer at Gina Agosta's since I can remember! Then, at 14, I started my first job as a cleaning girl at this salon. I continued to work there until just a few months ago when I graduated from college! Working at Gina Agosta Salon throughout high school and college was the best experience I could have asked for. Working behind the scenes, it was clear to me that these stylists truly care for you and want you to always look and feel your best! John and Gina, the owners, strive every single day to make each customers experience the best it possibly could be. This salon is genuine, the owners truly care, the stylists/colorists/nail techs/etc. are all down to earth, yet very talented people. I don't know many people who can actually say they love every single person they work with- but I really could! There is not one person I would not trust there to do my hair. The reason I am writing this review is to let people who may not have had the Agosta experience know that this is an amazing salon well worth their try. I believe one of the reasons the service you will receive there will be beyond your expectations, is because everyone there really enjoys being there and that is evident from the customers perspective. I miss working there and being able to be apart of that great atmosphere all the time, but they definitely have a customer for life in me! The best tip I could give anyone else- is try them out! Every woman on my street, all of my friends, new co-workers, family... everyone I have recommended to try, loved their experience from beginning to end. That is why I am proud to say I worked there, that is why I will continue to go there and that is why I recommend you do as well! Thank you Gina Agosta and everyone there for all you have given me and congratulations on all your successes!

Nice cut, good customer service. To me, finding a good hair stylist is worse than finding a doctor you like. I started going to this salon in February and have received nothing but compliments on my hair and people ask me where I get my hair done. The prices vary depending on which stylist you have, but for the quality of the cut, i think the price I pay is reasonable. I always get what I ask for and the cuts grow out nicely. I'm always greeted when I walk in the door and someone always offers me something to drink. I haven't had any bad experiences with the customer service, except for one time when I made an appointment and they didn't log it in their computer system, so they had no record of making the appointment for me (I couldn't find my appointment card until a couple weeks later). They got me in the next day though. I haven't tried their other services, but I'm jonesing for a massage, so I might try them soon.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that all the bad reviews come from people who may not be that lovely themselves. If your experience is really that terrible at a salon, you should speak to the manager or owner immediately. Salons don't build solid reputations when they're jacking up peoples' hair on a regular basis, or treating their customers like dirt.

only the best for me. I just love this place! I have been going here for a while now and i am more than satisfied! Lisa cuts my hair and i just love it every time, she recommended Sara Jane for color and i think she is great. although the parking lot gets crazy i stay away on Saturdays

Wonderful!. I have lived in Novi for many years now, and over the years I've heard this salon name mentioned many times. So I finally decided to give it a try! The woman on the phone recommended Ashley for color, and Theresa for my cut. They where AMAZING! My hair has never been better, I am constantly stopped and asked who does my hair every where I go! I can't wait to go back and see them again. Every employee there was so nice, it was over all a wonderful experience.

I love this place - quality folks are there!. I have been going to Gina Agosta's Salon for 3 years now and have ALWAYS had a fantastic experience

Linda is my stylist and Pam is my colorist, although I've had subs when my schedule dictated it, and

they've been fantastic too. I just don't understand these reviews talking about nastiness from the receptionist/front desk folks - I never experienced that. Don't understand the bad hair results either.

My cuts and colors have always been great.

This is especially relevant given that my sister is a hairstylist and when she moved I had to find another

place to go to - very hard when you're used to a talented familiy member as your stylist! A friend referrred me to Gina Agosta's and I have been in good hands ever since!!!!

As for the price schedule, yes it's right up there with any upscale salon. But it's more than worth it.

Beyond My Expectations!!!. New to the area, read a few reviews and decided to try the salon. The receptionist was so nice and was able to squeeze me in on short notice for a color, highlight and cut on what was a very busy Saturday morning. The colorist gave me a wonderful color and highlight - better than I had even envisioned. My hair stylist gave me a great variation of a bob. She gave me some input as to what would look good and I'm glad I took her advice - I've been receiving compliments from family and friends and even have had perfect strangers at the mall compliment me and ask where I had my hair done! Really thrilled with my new look, exceptional friendly service, and clean salon. Plan on returning again and again!!

Nothing but good experiences!. I have been going to Gina Agosta's for around eight years now. Previously, I had been to other the salons in the area and none had really surpassed my expectations. From the first time I have visited Gina's, I was very impressed. The salon is clean and always up to date. The offere a ton of great products that really do work at very reasonable prices. Like any other decent salon, make an appointment before hand. If it is Friday evening and you are trying to get in on Saturday, like any good salon they are probably going to be busy! If you make your appointment days or a week prior, they are usually really accomodating. Even if they are completely booked, the receptionist are always helpful. On more than one occasion, they have taken down my name and number, checked with my stylist and called me back with a time they could squeeze me in. My stylist has given up lunch breaks and stayed after... they are always trying to help and seem to put their clients first. For the people complaining about a rude front desk service, I agree with one of the posts that said don't ask for Maria. The receptionist Maria has been working there for as long as I have been going there and seems to just be a miserable person!! Hang up and call back or ask to speak to someone else and I gaurantee you won't have any problems. I would bet that the people complaining about the front desk service are all complaining about her. Trust me, I've dealt with her too! Just don't work with her! Problem solved. All the other younger girls are really nice and know what they are talking about. The prices are very fair. For the cheap people complaining about the prices, don't go to a nice salon if you don't want to pay the prices. I have seen many friends pay higher prices for worse service.... now they go to Gina's. There is a reason so many people have been going there for so many years... I would never go to another salon!

Learn to write people!. I have been going to Gina Agosta's Salon for the past 5 years and love it. I always walk in tense and frenzied and walk out relaxed and feeling glamorous! The entire staff does whatever they can to make me comfortable and makes sure all of my needs are met. I've tried several different stylists and colorists and i am continually impressed with the professionalism they've shown me.

As for the person that claims to have had bad experience at Gina Agosta's, I don't believe for a second that they would not re-do your hair until you're happy with it. I've had a style, on occasion, that I haven't been comfortable with and they always offer to re-do my hair until I am 100% satisfied.

One more thing- when you write a review, use spell check and read it over to check for errors! It's not that difficult! (A big pet peeve of mine!)
