steak was terrible, too much grissle, chewy – my wife and I stopped out for a nice meal and I got the sirloin tip kebobs. the steak was riddled with grissle and very chewy, I could only eat about 1/2 of the meat and I believe they forgot my rice with the meal. Very disappointing for the prices!!!!!!!!!
Loved, Loved, Loved the place – We stopped at Hereshey's while shopping near campus; we were thilled to find a killer patio and strong, delicious drinks! The menu has a HUGE appetizer portion and a decent selection of $9.99 entrees (that include sides and salad)! Way better than cardboard chains, and cheaper too! We live on the West side of town, but will be back on the next sunny day -- to sit on the large patio.
Lousy customer service, arrogant staff – We went to Hershey's for my wife's birthday. She ordered a shrimp dish, but received a different shrimp dish that she did not order and didn't like. The server argued that she received what she ordered so too bad. He removed the food but would not discount the bill. He received a 10 cent gratuity and this terrible review. Absolutely no reason to return to Hershey's: AVOID.
Hershey Steakhouse Awful Service – I was recently visiting Lansing on a business trip and we decided to eat at Hershey?s Steak & Seafood restaurant with a group of colleagues from work on 12/11/07. Most of us ordered fillet, being that this is a steakhouse. I ordered a regular 8 oz medium rare fillet and another person asked for a special cut 11 oz rare fillet. When the food arrived my 8 oz fillet was well done and his 11 oz was medium. We called the waitress and expressed that the fillets were not cooked properly. But being conscientious about not wasting food, my friend suggested I take his steak and he will send mine back. We explained to the waitress that we were switching not to waste a good steak and she agreed. Well, when his new steak came back out it was not even rare; this steak was RAW, RAW, RAW. He called the waitress again and asked to put the steak back on the grill for a couple of minutes. When the steak came back out again for the 3rd time it was still RAW. He did not finish the steak and we proceeded to pay. When the bill came the waitress said because of the inconvenience that we could choose one (1) free desert. When I looked at the bill we had been charged an extra $10 for the special cut and another extra $10 for the second cut steak. We called the waitress who called the manager. We proceeded to explain to the manager the inconvenience we had just experienced and to our surprise he answered: ?What do you want me to do?. (Call that: AWFUL SERVICE.) I believe it was an outrage that this individual treated us with such disrespect and arrogance. To sum it all, he discounted the bill $15. I will definitely NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone. The next day the whole group of 47 people decided to go to the Cadillac and I tell you we had an awesome time. By the way, the total bill for 6 people at Hershey?s was $240 and the total bill at the Cadillac for 7 was $243 including 5 desserts. (I Call that SERVICE!).
