Experience Horrendous! We custom ordered a 5th Wheel at the end of March from Canada, one couch in the RV was backordered which put us getting the unit a month late. Then when the wrong 5th wheel came in, it took US 2 weeks to get in contact with our saleswoman (Kim). Communication, customer service and problem solving skills all seem to be at all time low on their priority lists. When they finally recognized that we did not want this different RV they were pushing on us, there was another month delay due to the Silverado factory going into a shut down. After the factory was back up and running, they decided that they no longer were going to make the specific RV that we custom ordered, so without confirming all the changes our saleswoman decided to order us a new one. When she called to say she was expecting it on a specific day we were pretty excited - even though camping season in Alberta is pretty much done, since then we haven't again heard from her in over a week and a half.
We are extremely disappointed in the way things were handled there, and would never recommend Gillette's RV to anyone looking for a hassle free experience
I could not be happier with my Gillette’s Interstate RV experience! I researched pricing across the nation and the bottom line is that no one comes close to Gillette’s pricing.
Everyone was a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable, and responsive. This was especially important for me as I am a first-time buyer. They walked through every aspect of my new travel trailer to make sure I was comfortable with all its features. I never felt rushed, and really appreciate the practical tips and advice. Traveling from out of state required significant service related to my hitch installation and vehicle wiring. Gillette’s was able to provide everything I needed and I was back on the road ASAP.
I traveled over 2,000 miles round trip from Maine to make my purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Gillette’s Interstate RV! They got me what I wanted at the price I didn't think I could get away with! One happy camper here!
The wife and I needed to kill some time before an MSU game, so we stopped by their lot to browse. After the game we stopped back by and ended up purchasing a superb used unit! Thanks to Josh (our salesman) for being so knowledgable as this is our first camper! Ben in the service department quickly expelled any and all fears we had about the RV's operations and now we can't wait till Spring to head up North! Thanks to the whole crew at Gillette's for making this a painless, first buying experience! On a sidenote, this is the first time I can remember the In-Laws saying to me about what a good decision I made! They said in a couple months they'll be shopping with you guys SO HEADS UP! Don't worry, I know you'll make a great impression with them too! Overall experience a 10+!!!
Shop at your own risk! One of their salesmen kept calling my wife for months, hitting on her. This almost ruined my marriage. What a lowlife scum bag. It's unfortunate the owner has let this place go so badly, a bunch of middle age party boys who refuse to grow up. Sad...
GREAT SALES - SERVICE BAD – Went on a whim and found just the right RV. Salesperson was excellent and they really worked with us on that part. Found a LOT wrong with this unit right off the bat, which was the manufacturer's fault, not Gillettes (will never buy a Forest River product again), but we waited a month to get the darned thing home. Kept having issues and spent basically most of 2011 taking it back and forth to Gillettes probably more than 10 times) with it never being quite right. Finally called Forest River personally and they put us in touch with another dealer, who fixed the unit right up in no time, revealing that the problems stemmed from incorrect repair before. Service was really bad, because the things that were wrong, were simple fixes that Gillette did no seem to be able to figure out, maybe because they have such a turnover that no one knows what to do. I would recommend purchasing there, but definitely not servicing.
FUN BUYING EXPERIENCE – WE WENT TO GILLETTE'S TO LOOK AROUND FOR AN RV AND WE FOUND THE ONE OF OUR DREAMS! THEY HAD A TON OF INVENTORY TO LOOK AT AND THE SALES PERSON WAS GREAT! WHEN WE WENT TO PICK UP OUR NEW ONE THE PROCESS WENT SMOOTH AND THEY WERE VERY PATIENT AND DETAILED WITH US, TEACHING US HOW TO USE IT PROPERLY. WE WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEALER!
Had a Great Experience!!! – Looking for a new camper I went to a lot of dealerships. Some friendly, some not so friendly. I must say the people at Gillette's really took care of me. The salesman was very helpful and not pushy. They walked me through the new RV, made sure I knew how to use it on my first trip and gave me a deal on the extra goodies I wanted. My experience was positive with the service after the sale too. I called with a couple minor issues. One they helped me fix over the phone and the other one was taken care of when I brought the camper into their Service Department. I am very happy with my experience.
Wonderful.... until I took possession. – Two months after taking delivery of an ORDERED RV, I am STILL awaiting delivery of damaged parts that were overlooked during the 'prep' process.
Apologies, promises and delivery expectations have all continued...
but no parts have been received.
I simply desire what I ordered,...a NEW RV, accompanied by satisfactory service and support.
