DO NOT USE. late delivery and bouquet of flowers looked as if they were thrown together. ordered from FTD and didn't have a choice but will not be using either in the future.
HORRIBLE QUALITY & SERVICE – DO NOT USE FOR YOUR WEDDING!! My sister used Bancroft for her wedding flowers, and some centerpieces at the reception. My sister's bouquet wasn't right, plus we were missing one of the bridesmaids bouquets and 2 corsages. The flowers were already falling apart during pictures after the wedding. The centerpieces at the reception looked like someone just threw flowers into the square vase(that my Mom provided), the mirrors they rented to us were dirty, chipped and scratched with rough sharp edges! We had to take the price tags off and clean them before we could put them on the tables. Some were so bad we tried to not even use them. My Mom spent an hour cleaning them and wrapping them with bubble paper before she took them back and the owner, Ruth, charged my Mom for the one that was chipped because she didn't bother to check their condition before she rented them out. We explained that they were like that when we got them, but she didn't care. Ruth takes no responsibility for the poor quality, nor does she care about her customers.
Substadard customer service, no delivery on VDAY as ordered! – I don't know how to fully express my utter disappointment. WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!!!!
I placed an order with Bancroft Flowers for a delivery on Valentine's Day. The delivery was supposed to arrive any time between 9am and 5pm, at the recipient's place of employment. She never received the arrangement. The next morning when I called Bancroft the person on the other end said "Well she must not have been there." But she never once left work between 9 and 6. Then the representative said, "Well, I'm sorry. We were overwhelmed. We'll deliver them today." And offered to throw in a box of chocolates. When asked what time to deliver the arrangement, I said between 1 and 2, as that would be the only time she would be home that day. The person on the other end said no problem. At 12:45, while on her way home to receive the delivery, the recipient received a phone call from the delivery person stating that he was there, after 12 like he was supposed to be, but noone was home so he left them in the leasing office, and the lease agent said she'd bring them over." Irritating, as the recipient had a baby and a large number of groceries to carry in, she could not simply swing by and manage an arrangement on top of that. The arrangement NEVER ARRIVED Wednesday, either. And when the friendly maintenance man finally brought over the arrangement on Thursday morning, the box of chocolates turned out to be a chocolate stick. Luckily for Bancroft, the arrangement was cacti~ if it had been flowers they would've been wilted by that point. How terribly can you botch a floral delivery on Valentine's Day??? They were a complete let down, basically blew off the fact that they missed the VDay delivery by tossing in a chocolate stick to make up for a delivery that arrived two days late. Will NEVER use them again, and will be sure to let anyone I know that plans on using them of their unreliable delivery system, poor customer satisfaction remedies, irresponsible delivery persons, etc. WHAT A LET DOWN!!!
Bancroft-Rude Beyond Belief – We ordered aournd $800.00 worth of flowers for the wedding party and church for my daughters wedding. When the designer found out we were doing our own reception flowers she became very rude and commented that she didn't want anyone to think Bancroft had done the reception flowers too. Then during this appointment with my daughter to finalize the order she took a call from another customer. When she finished the call she said to my daughter, "I always take his calls because he doens't skimp on his flowers." I would never recommend Bancroft and put another bride in a position where she felt like she was being cheap...that's inexcusable!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible Terrible TERRIBLE! – This is the Worst place to get flowers. I got some sent to me that were just terrible! It was mostly leaves,the TWO barely pink roses were opened and browning on the petals,the ONE gerbera daisy was tiny and balding with missing petals and half wilted, there were more stalks of leaves then flowers and even those were all holey,brown edged and crisp feeling. The flowers were just thrown in the vase with no order or direction.They looked like the reject flowers that weren't good enough for any other arrangment!! I was completely astonished that a Florist would even let these leave their shop! How embarassing!The sender spent $80 on them too.Don't forget there were only 2 roses and 1 gerbera daisy the rest was leaves and stupid filler flowers and for 80, that is crazy! I could have got something BETTER at Meijer for 14.99. Don't call and tell them you have problems because the garuntee they have to make their customers happy doesn't mean S*** to them, Ruth was SO rude and did not ONCE did i get an apology or an offering to make it right,her attitude was just deal with it,i don't care.I was trying to be nice about it because i am not the kind of person to attack, i understand we are all human here and make mistakes but she got defensive from the start for NO reason. DO NOT purchase here! Go to What On Earth in East Lansing! They are AMAZING!!!
