Great Food and Good Service though busy – On a busy Friday night we only had to wait 15 minutes, lower estimate of what was told us. And even though our waitress had many tables, she was very watchful and came over as soon as we tried to catch her attention. The food came without much of a wait and it was very good. The thai cream ice tea is delicious, definitely recommend. My coconut peanut sauce was delicious. The best tofu I've had in a while. My boyfriends red curry was great. Though medium spicy is plenty spicy for most anyone; we tend to order the spiciest dishes at restaurants and medium spicy was quite good. Overall I'd definitely recommend it. Only negatives were limited parking and a loud packed place.
ceilings look like through up + good food = eek – this place has through up ceilings, they make you want to through up because they look like through up. You can't help but notice, it's like an accident. Could easily be covered and would immediately make the atmosphere 100% better! It's that foam insulation randomly sprayed all over the open view ceiling & piping/vents with a bright yellow paint over the top of that. It's really a bummer considering the food is decent, especially the green curry which was delicious.
BAD service – What a horrible experience. The waiter was extremely rude. When asked to explain what a dish was, his reply was, "I'm not the chef, read the description." When asked to bring a new glass of water because the old one was dirty, he argued for five minutes. When asked if the item on the menu was vegetarian, he said he didn't know and wouldn't find out. He was nowhere to be found when needed. He groaned when we asked for a few more minutes to place our orders. He charges us for sauces we did not even ask for. When we complained to the manager, no one did anything about it.
Never coming here again.
Great cream cheese puffs and the pad thai is the best in town. – We love the fresh vegetables and delicious sweet and sour chicken and pork . The tomato based spicy pad thai is delicious. and so is the spicy chicken,
We love to order take out. It is ready so fast. Only 15 min ..Piping hot and delicious . The service is fantastic with take out! Pleasent employees very smiling and happy
Cities Best Egg Rolls – Great restaurant. Relaxing atmosphere, great service. They don't rush you out the door and try to turn tables quickly. The food has great flavor and the servings are large. The egg rolls are a must, they're fresh and I've never had better.
fantastic tasting food – Some of the best tasting thai I've ever had. The atmosphere and service are solid but nothing spectacular but I really enjoyed the flavor of the foods. I ate there at lunchtime and thought the prices $6-$8 were very reasonable for the food quality.
Most disgusting experience dining EVER! – Ok-- so here's the deal...I've eaten here a dozen times or so because my co-workers are so enamored of it and they have a decent vegetarian selection. Most of the food is fair to pretty good, I will give them that.
The problem is that the service is really mediocre to poor and the last time I was there, I had the most disgusting dining experience EVER. Once our meal was finished, we waited and waited for the check (they're terrible about checking back on you here). We had a lot of dirty dishes including the soup which my friend and i hadn't touched because of the chicken stock. The waiter proceeded to put his left hand behind his back and started stacking the dishes together in slow motion, which was awkward because I was sitting right by him as he was doing this and we were trying to hold a conversation.
Then, he started pouring all the soup and other leftover dishes into one big bowl on the table. As you can imagine this was SO VILE! As this gelatinous mixture was right in front of me, I had to fight the urge not to reguritate my noodle salad. Thank goodness I wasn't hung over or I would have thrown up for sure. I actually audibly groaned and rolled my eyes, but he didn't have a clue and took about 6-7 minutes to clear our table, still using one hand. I thought maybe he was injured, but, no, he had a clean towel in the other and apparently didn't want to set it down.
I hope to never eat here again.
Had Better – We were excited to try this Thai restaurant but ended up disappointed. The waiter didn't ask us if we wanted drinks and our appetizer dishes were never cleared from the table when we got our food. The main course came so quickly like they had it sitting around back there! The pork in the laab tasted like a barn--I didn't even eat it (it looked good though). We were put in the side room and our waiter was no-where to be found after we got our food (we had to fill up our water glasses ourselves!) Would recommend Grad Thai on Grand Ave much more highly than this place!
Yum! – This is the best Thai food I've ever had...although I haven't been to many Thai restaurants. The spring rolls are great, and so is the Pad Thai and peanut coconut chicken! The service definitely isn't the best I've ever had. I've always had to flag down a server when I needed anything. Iwouldn't recommend the Reisling wine...pretty cheap tasting.
Authentic with good service. – Authentic....we are picky and don't like the wanna-be's. We travel to Asia several times a year, and this restaurant reminds me of the flavors I find in Bangkok.
Thank you very much
