LOVE IT – I love Champps! They have things going on almost every night of the week! They have awsome happy hour and awsome daily specials. For instance my family goes there on Wed nights for their Kids-r-king night. 1 child eats free for every 1 adult item! It is great with the economy the way it is. We try to save money anywhere we can and this helps! Also their great Happy Hour items help to save even more money! For these reasons along with the great staff my family and I will continue to visit Champps!

Kids eat free my foot..... – My wife and I have a large family (5 kids under 12)so obviously we live on a budget. I wanted to treat them to some good food and great atmosphere so I took them to Champps. We were promptly seated and waited on by what started out as a great waitress. The food was excellent as well as the service, until it came time to pay the bill. We went on a Wednesday evening which was listed on thier dining menu as kids eat free night. The promotion was clearly listed on the Champps website as 2 kids free for each paying adult. When the tab came it was wrong and the waitress tried to tell us that it was one child for each paying adult. I told her that the dining menu on the website stated 2 kids per adult and that I had called to confirm before we arrived.

The manager was sent to explain it all to us and I told her the same thing. After much to do about nothing she agreed to correct the bill. This all sounds like a misunderstanding up until this point, but it was what happened next that really get's my goat.

As the manager and our server were at the computer correcting the bill, they were overheard by my wife. The comments they made regarding my station in life and my family's financial situation will not be repeated here.

The manager returned to the table for my signature, we completed the transaction and I left. I normally would have just let something like this slide but I was so irritated by what my wife told me, when I was out of earshot of the Champps employees, that I snatched up the print out of the dinner menu ( I had printed it out for the directions) and brought it inside. I showed it to our server and she sheepishly told me that she would bring it to the manager. I hope she enjoyed her 25% tip it's the last anyone in that establishment will get from me.......

Sports restaurant-bar draws fans who love the food as much as the game. – In Short
Using their original burgers-and-beer joint in St. Paul, Minn., as a base modl, this sports-themed chain is now a popular hangout for all ages nationwide. The memorabilia-loaded space is crowded with families and friends chatting over chili cheeseburgers, bourbon-glazed pork chops and large orders of soups and salads. On major game nights, the shiny wooden bar area is packed with small groups eyeing the monitors above while cheering or grumbling into their pints and fries.

Fool Me Twice Shame on Me – It has been two years since I vowed I would never step foot in Champps again. I had spent thousands in there for birthday parties, group get togethers and of course being the father of six children. Two years ago when I ordered a walleye sandwich and asked for french dressing instead of tarter sauce and they insisted on charging me an extra $1.50 I swore I would never go back. However last night during a lapse in judgement I returned with my wife for a quite dinner without the children. I ordered an entree and asked what sides came with it and was told I could add a salad for $1.99. My wife was going to have a few bites of mine and wait for dessert. During the meal the waitress informed me that the manager changed my bill due to the fact my wife ate the salad with me. They now charged me full price for a salad versus the $1.99 add on. I was furious. If this was not acceptable the waitress should have said something while she was taking my order, not after the fact. I called for a manager and explained the situation but he was rude and of no use. I than requested a real manager that could at least listen. The lady manager who had made the change listened and finally agreed to correct my bill. After this confrontation we elected not to get dessert due to a ruined date night and loss of appetite. I WILL NEVER RETURN and I will tell this story to whoever will listen. FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU, FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME

whatch out – I will say that Champps in the past we went to champps a ton. On our last visit we used a Gift Certificate given to my parents for their 50th. When we went to pay our bill there was a question about it. Our waitress could not answer it so I asked to speak with the manager. When she came to our table she was very rude! Refused to give us any change for the gift cert. or another gift cert for the balance. Since it was a $25.00 difference I of course wanted to pay cash. At this point she tore the cert. out of my hand and walked away. What was so hard is that my child was with me. When we were leaving she was up front so I asked her why she would act that way in front of a child? Again I was treated like dirt under her feet. Our service that night was not at all up to par! Since they were not busy I wondered why we waited to get seated and why our food took so long. I have since heard other stories just like mine. If you send food back or have a question.....out comes the fangs! Be careful when bringing children with you.

I don't like sports. I don't really drink much. I don't like large crowds. Champp's in Woodbury is a sports bar and it has all these things. But for some reason I inexplicably love this place. My meals have always been good - the menu is varied with good portion sizes. The waitstaff seems to know their stuff - they easily accomodate my subsititution and questions about the entrees. And this might be dumb to bring up, but I've always enjoyed the music they play inside! I've always gone with a group of friends (4 or 5) and it's been great. I wouldn't go there on a date - the guy would pay too much attention to the large TVs broadcasting sports. One more thing worth mentioning: The Woodbury location seems MUCH greater than the rest of the TC locations. I don't know why this is, but I couldn't find the menu items I really wanted when I visited the other places. So Woodbury Champp's it is...

Great Place! – I go to the Woodbury Chammps every Thursday with a few friends to unwind and start the weekend. The staff are the best around, especially the bar staff. It's a great place to be able to talk because it's not too loud, but they also have good music and there's always a game on to watch no matter what your sport is.

Exquisite! – The food is great! A LOT OF FOOD! [Remember to tip well--the waitrons need to make a living, too...&, DUH, this will impress your date.] Take a date here...fill her up. Talk to her, like she's a person. Listern to her, too...FOR REAL...women like that. Afterward, go to a movie, or steal a gentle summer walk somewhere where you're not supposed to be...& as a result, she'll want to be filled up later, too...by you! Great place to take a date. [I should get paid for this review--it's all true. And a dating note, guys...treat a woman well, & she'll treat you well... don't be overbearing, pushy, or jerk: take the time to treat her right, do your best to make for an enjoyable dinner experience [& Champps is a great place to do it], listen to her, & talk with her, like she's a person, too... .
