Normal. This is like your mom's kitchen. They have all the normal foods that others have forgotten or changed. Nothing fancy, but everything tastes great. Although there is limited seating a table usually opens up quickly enough.
What took so long?. Sweet Lorraine's is an interesting breakfast location. They serve standard breakfast items, nothing too special, but good. The place it pretty small, and it gets pretty busy on the weekend, so you may sit for quite some time without seeing your breakfast or getting a coffee refill. My wife and I sat for a hour after we put in our order, which would not have been so bad if our waitress had been on top of things. We sat most of that hour with empty coffee mugs and no water. When our breakfast did come out, my bacon was so overcooked that it literally turned to dust when broken in half. But at least the breakfast was inexpensive.
Life's simple pleasures. Classic corner restaurant - perhaps its seen better days but this is still a good place to head off to. The inside isn't much to look at, but the patio is fantastic during the Summer. The food all tastes great, I'm not one for Mexican fare but this place has plenty to offer. And you can still get a real burger or salad, etc. Oh, and don't forget to have a piece of cake - you won't regret it.
MMmmmmm...sweeeet.... Great deals and amazing food draw me back to Sweet Lorraine's time after time. My husband is hooked on the Mexican omelette, and I love the banana pancakes. On a summer morning, their covered patio area is a breathtaking backdrop to the tasty offerings.
