too bad it's gone.
it seems that Lava Lounge has closed or moved, more likely closed. I went to stop by there earlier today and the store was completely empty and a "For Lease" sign in the wondow. I have been searching the internet and the yellowpages to see if they've moved, can't find any info at all.
it maybe be that we're out of luck, sorry to break the news.
Cute styles, very hip. Love the styles. Very unique selection of more exclusive brands. You won't see yourself walking around in any of these items. Every time I've worn something from Lava Lounge I get a ton of complements. It's a great store for those who like to dress creatively.
Always recommended. Can't say enough. Shop here and be swell. The more you grow, the better you'll know - the Lava Lounge is something that's really something.
This Lyn-Lake shop is ground zero for clubwear, skateboarding togs and some of the funkiest shoes ever to be sold in the Twin Cities..
In Short
This funky Lyn-Lake boutique carries such labels as X-Large (put out by those rappers-cum-designers the Beastie Boys) and local makers Thump and Tasty. The store offers a wild assortment of accessories, from Hello Kitty backpacks to Gucci sunglasses. There's also a nifty selection of smoking paraphernalia, incense and skateboards. The best time to visit is during warmer months, when drag queens perform on the sidewalk in front of the store.
not worth the drive.
the clothes had a variety but nothing was good. they were all over priced and ugly as hell.
the clerk was pretty rude and did do a once over on my sister and me.
we were the only ones in the store which makes a lot more sense once we went into the place and saw what was in there...
really not worth the time...
VIVA LYN-LAKE.
This store is always changing, and the brands they have now are amazing! Miss Sixty, Fornarina, Energie, Fred Perry, Geek Boutique and many other labels that you can't find in this city. Expensive, yes -- but you aren't paying for mall clothes that have been mass-produced in China! They also have one of the best selections of Gucci sunglasses I have ever seen. And if you need lower prices, shop their new off-price store on the same block.
There are enough stores in the area to make the trip worthwhile, including Heavenly Soles & Theatre Antiques. Pizza Luce and Hair Police (two Minneapolis treasures) are each a block away. Lyn-Lake is one of the only neighborhoods left in the city where there are lots of locally-owned small shops & restaurants.
hello? hello?. I would like to talk about the service...but I couldn't get anyone to talk to me. I was the only customer in the store, and it seems they want to keep you out. The clerk looked me up and down, then walked on by. Are you kidding me?
