I got the worst haircut of my life from Will. I thoroughly explained what I wanted, what I liked and didn't like before he even started. I have worn my hair short for years and have had some bad cuts due to my fine straight hair but nothing like this. He gave me a cookie cutter men's cut, like you could get at Great Clips. He has no right working in a salon like this. I used to get the best cuts I've ever had from Dani until she left. I'm sure there are some great stylists at Hair Police but Will is not one of them. The only thing that's going to remotely appease me is to get my $50 back so when this grows out I can get a decent cut elsewhere.

wendy absolutely rocks the most at creating dreads for men and women with non-textured hair. i got my dreads there, took 4 hours, she was meticulous! pricey, but as far a comeptition goes, there really is none, and here you will get what you pay for. my hair was very long and beautiful before the treatment and very long and fabulous after; and goregeous dreads - everyone ants to know where i got them. WENDY @ HAIR POLICE. there. recommend.

Extensions – Rachel is amazing. I've gotten so many great compliments on my hair from everyone, including people I don't even know that come up to me to compliment my hair. If you're going to Hair Police GO to her!

Experts in color, hair extensions and everything in between. – The Hair Police are experts in color, hair extensions, dreads and everything in between. Located on the second level of this hip Minneapolis warehouse space, the Hair Police is anything but hoity-toity pretentious. Inside, concrete and steel instead of faux waterfalls and chandeliers greet visitors. And stylists lining the shop all take on the intense stare of sculptors as they meticulously add hair extensions, dreadlocks and color to their clients’ coifs. The specialties here are color and hair extensions, but folks from all over and of every age come to these experts for their great service and knack for kids’ styles, conservative styles, punk styles, super-sexy styles and everything in between. Don’t let the tattoos and the dreads fool you: The stylists here are all about making every customer--whatever their needs—stylish and happy.

Great salon – This salon is cute, conveniently located in Uptown, and the haircuts are very reasonably priced. You get a $50-60 cut for about $30. I have been happy with my experiences there.

Never been so pleased! – I found Hair Police through this website and through a search that led me to a City Pages award for 'Best Haircut.' I have used CitySearch for a long time but have never felt compelled to sign up and actually write a review until now.

I was very uneasy when I first stepped foot into Hair Police. It is set up like an old warehouse, or like an artist's loft. I have only ever been to stripmall or spa salons, so the atmosphere was very different- but in a good way. My stylist was Laura, and she was a pleasant surprise from other stylists I've had back home. She did something I've never seen before and actually turned to face me when we discussed my service instead of just talking to me in the mirror. She did a fantastic job on my haircut and I will be seeing her again for color.

Parking was good once I figured it out. Great location.

Great Great Great – I signed up just to give HairPolice a review. When I first went there I was a little on edge because I was getting my hair cut very short. But, the atmosphere was completely unpretentious, every was so friendly and the price was reasonable, exactly what was stated on the website. I have been going back there ever since and every time I walk out loving the cut!

do your research – Although I m happy with my hair, I must say I was charged more than I expected, and more than the website price estimates said. I don't mind paying for quality but I don't like to be suprised when I'm on a budget, so it might be best to check with the stylist before you start. Besides that, the place had attitude and my stylist clearly didn't want to be there, so I think for the price, I could have been happier.

Don't mind getting arrested... – ...if it's by Hair Police. Stefanie, my stylist, is great. Even though I don't have much hair, she always thinks of something fun and creative to do with it. She does dreads, extensions, colours and cuts for all my friends and they love her! The staff there is attentive and smart - it's a place where you can bring a picture in and actually get the results you were looking for.
