This is a fantastic local business, with fast and reliable service! Lee runs the place and is an extremely hard worker; I brought in my heels to get re-capped and he had them done in no time, for a very decent price. I would absolutely recommend this shop.
Lee is key!! – I love Lee's Shoe & Leather Repairing! I have been going to him for years and he is the cutest, sweetest man I've ever brought my shoes too. I've had major leather problems and he's yet to prove to me that he can't solve them. He's well priced, fast, and really really nice. Please bring your business to Lee!
Don't be shy – I must tell you...
I had three of my most prized leather possessions that needed to be repaired and being new to the area-- was at a loss as to where to take them.
After much deliberation, I took all three to Lee's in one fell-swoop with great apprehension.
Everything worked out perfectly!
I had a bag with a broken strap-- he fixed the strap and reinforced the other one just to make sure it did not fall towards the same fate.
I had a pair of strapped boots-- he repaired the strap and the heel and did a great job.
Finally, I had a bum heel on another pair of boots-- now they look like new!
Couple all of the above with the fact that he is honest-seeming, timely and adorable. He minded his p's and q's and was done in one week!
One more thing-- without asking, all of my wares were returned polished and shiny. I felt like it were christmas morning!
Patronize him and his conveniently located shop!! He does great work and is completely affordable.
Great service! – I had a great experience at Lee's in March of 2008. I needed a heel tip replacement, and Lee offered to do it while I waited. Very happy with the experience - definitely exceeded my expectations.
Miracle worker – I brought in a pair of boots I've had for years and are an essential part of my wardrobe. I could barely bring myself to part with them for a week, much less a month I was quoted at nearby shops. I was very apprehensive after reading the reviews on this site, but I thought I would give it a try.
The cute older man behind the counter assured me he could fix my severely damaged heels and do it within a week. When I went to pick them up he delivered the shoes with a smile ? and they looked fabulous. He even shined them up to give them a brand new sheen. It was quite reasonable pricing considering the alternative would have been going and buying a new pair ranging from $100-$200. This is now my shoe shop of choice.
I don't think I will go here again – I brought in two pairs of shoes and a bag to be repaired. The side seam was coming out in a pair of Dansko mary jane's, the bag strap was beginning to tear at the seam (about 1/2" tear), and the back heal of my husband's shoe was soft. The gentleman said he would restitch the side seam of the Dansko's and reinforce the rest of the seams, stitch the rip in the bag strap, and cut open the back of the shoe heal and reinforce it. The cost started at $35 - he kept changing his mind and finally quoted us $50. A week later went to pick up the items to find we owed a total of $55. He stitched the seam in the Dansko's but did not reinforce the rest, there did not seem to be any change in my husbands shoe besides a new stitch, and he forget to do my bag! He said it would take him 5 minutes to do the bag; 15-20 minutes later he was finished. We used to only go to Bill at Schuler Shoes in Southtown Mall - but they closed! If anyone knows where Bill went - please let me know!
So far, so great. – Today I called Lee (he answered and helped me out) for the first time, and he was wonderful!! Usually I take my shoes to another shop in minneapolis on hennepin (i won't embarrass them) that usually keep my shoes for 3-4 weeks and after i harass them for 1-2 more weeks, i finally get them back. anyway, i digress. i called Lee and he said he could fix this particular issue in 10-15 minutes! WHAT?? I am amazed. And excited! I will take them in tomorrow. I have a feeling I'll be satisfied. I already have a list of other shoes that I will bring in!
Amazing – Lee is a genius! I just had a pair of heels that looked like they have been to hell and back repaired, and they look nearly perfect. Everything was worn out on them, the heel, the tip of the toe, soles, leather, etc and I was surprised to see that repairs could even be done, but not only were they done, it looks like I have only worn them twice. Other shoe repair stores in the area don't even compare!
