Not all their locations are this good.
For the money this place is a bargain. Polite staff, good food, very reasonably priced. I've been here maybe ten times and no complaints. The salsa selection and warm chips are a nice touch while waiting for your order to be prepared.
I would say out of the three locations I'm aware of this one is by far the best and most consistent. I've had hit and miss experiences with the skyway location in downtown Minneapolis and stopped visiting there some time ago. I've heard the Eden Prairie location is not nearly as good as this one from someone who has eaten at both locations (I have not).
In short in mood for some reasonably priced mexican food this is a very good choice. Very casual (semi-fast food) restaurant feel, but food is very good.
These chains have no freezers, no microwaves, no lard, no MSG and no problem filling every seat in the place.. In Short Belly up to the intoxicating salsa bar, which runs the gamut from Minnesota red (ketchup-like) to the five-alarm salsa roja. Best by far: the fire-roasted tomato. The plump tacos are available either "Baja" style, with chopped onion, cilantro and salsa; or "American," with Jack cheese, sour cream, lettuce and diced tomatoes. Seafood fans go for the shrimp burrito, packed with a fabulous garden of char-broiled zucchini, yellow squash, red and green peppers, onions and lettuce.
This is my favorite place in the twin cities. To me it combines all of the qualities that I like about fast food with all of the qualities I like about restaurants. Food is good and comes fast. All you can eat salsa and chips, which you serve yourself off of the bar. No tips required and the prices are very low.
