Poor experience all around. – I was at the Lyndale Applebee's for dinner. Everyone got their meal except for me. I asked the waiter if mine was coming out soon and he replied that it would be right out. He then disappeared and didn't return with my meal until everyone else was finished eating. My food was cold and inedible when it finally arrived and everyone was ready for the bill.
Instead of comping my disgusting and late meal, I was given a box. The manager came over as we were leaving, apologized, and gave me a $5 voucher for a return visit. Sadly this was not the first bad meal I've had there but it will certainly be the last.
Bad experience at Applebee's in Bloomington on Lyndale. Manager John Sims, unprofessional, unfriendly, inconsiderate, and unqualified for management.
Big portions of mainstream American fare, served up in a convivial, family atmosphere. – In Short
A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.
In Henn County, it is a good place to go. – Most Applebee's have the bar surrounded by non-smoking, so you can't get away from the smoke. Great design Applebee's.
I live in Apple Valley, 2 miles from one, but I go to Bloomington.
Just right – I love going to Applebees for a couple reasons: I love the Weight Watchers menu (what a relief from the high cal/high fat meals at other restaurants) and for the perfect margarita! Try their strawberr perfect margarita and you won't be disappointed. Plus, its a good environment to enjoy some laid back conversations with some friends.
