Scary – I love being scared but this is a little over the top, but really great!!! i look forward to going back sooner rather than later
Dedicated to exploring death in all its aspects, this museum has everything from body bags to mortician instruments. – The Goods
After several successful years in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, the Museum of Death has recently relocated to a charmingly seedy Hollywood side street. The varied collection spans 16 rooms oozing with serial killer art, vintage funeral equipment, hand-carved Tibetan skulls, crime scene photos and a real electric chair.
While much of the collection is disturbing, the proprietors think of their museum as an educational institution, promoting an understanding of a part of human experience. Depending on the visitor's tastes, the friendly staff is equally happy to speak seriously about the collection, or trade tasteless jokes. Overall, this is a fascinating museum that, while not for everyone, will appeal to those with a taste for the unusual.
