petco does not check their animals! I had gotten a lizard from there and it was sick right away and never got better when I took it to the vet the vet told me it was something it had got from poor care in the past.

I also got bit by one of their dogs that they were trying to adopt out it had bitten people before but they still are trying to adopt it out!

Great People, Great Services! – Wow! For people who must make low wages, the staff are all very polite, happy people! If they don't know an answer, they'll find somebody who does instead of making it up. The dog trainer was very helpful in answering my questions and getting my puppy to stop biting (signing up for classes right away!); she was very friendly and even helped my 10yo son do the right thing for it! The groomers are all nice as well! I don't know what the other peoples' problems are; I have never had better haircuts! I make sure they know what I want before I leave, so I know my dog will look great when I get back. Plus they ask for vaccination reports! So safe for my dog! My only issue is they close early on Sundays, but the whole strip does, so I'm guessing it's a mall thing. I would highly recommend this store for anybody looking for friendly, professional service!

Very Knowledgeable – I always bring my dog Tucker in to Petco to get a haircut. He looks amazing after coming out of the salon and all the girl there are so nice! They make me feel comfortable leaving my dog at the salon, which is more than I can say for a lot of other salons in the Duluth area. They require proof of shots for all dogs which makes me feel much better about the level of safety they hold themselves to. I would never bring my dog to a shop that doesn't require proof of shots because you never know where those un vaccinated dogs have been! I will always bring my dog to Petco Duluth on a regular basis :-)

Petco Grooming on Central Entrance Duluth. I took my puppy CiCi in for a grooming. They said I had to leave her for 3 hours. When I returned the groomer hadn't even started to cut her hair. It was dark when I picked CiCi up and I couldn't tell what her cut looked like. When I got home, and saw what a mess she was, I called Petco grooming and talked to the manager. We set up an appointment for 2 days later. I told the manager that I preferred that she either do the hair cut or have someone with more experience do it. She agreed to do that. When I got there she stated that I would have to leave CiCi for another 2 hours. Upon returning, they had not even started on her. I had to sit and wait until they got around to grooming her. I will never go back there again. They are not very professional in my opinion. Thank you.

Terrible for my pet!!!!! – I took my dog to Petco and left him to get groomed. When I picked him up you could tell that he was just traumatized. They had messed with a medical condition he has after I told them to leave it alone and that it was under a vet's supervision and it was being worked with. Then to add he had cuts When I called ... and talked to a manager about the whole thing both the lady from the grooming part and he lied to me about what had happened and tried telling me that I was the cause of the cuts and that my vet and I didn't know what was going on with Pepper's medical condition and that it was just "knatted" hair and that when they cut it away it fixed itself. Yah.....listen to the vet or some petco groomer......real hard choice there. For a while after being there my dog actually became aggressive with me and would bite and draw blood (which he had NEVER done before) I now strongly suggest against going to Petco to anyone with an animal. I would actually give them a 0.
