great food, decent price, good for party takeout too – we have used india cook house for years for dinners, kids parties. the food is excellent, quantities large.
and unlike many other restaurants they dont overcharge for rice. chicken tikka masala is great.
the critics of their food on this web might be their competitors.
Great Lunch Buffet – The food was excellent, nice selection and the price was very reasonable. I was worried after reading some of the reviews where the dinner patrons complained about service...not so at lunch. Friendly staff, attentive and perfect for either a business or casual lunch. Will definitely go back!
Awful Food -- don't go there – My friend got severe stomach upset after taking food here. Doctor told it is due to awful food.
Also the customer service is bad .. Owner of the restaurant passed racial comments on us. I advise the US citizens not to attend this restaurant.
Treats customers like beggars – Bad restaurant I have ever seen. I wish I will never come cross such bad restaurant in my lifetime. Owner of the restaurant is Foul-mouthed (rude) person and behaves very badly with customers. In spite of my closed friends bad comments about this restaurant I visited this place and experienced the same treatment. He treats customers like beggars. So it is your choice if you still want to have food here. I felt being hungry is much better than taking food in this restaurant. (
Try some other Indian restaurant in Irvine area.
Terrible Customer Service, – We stopped by for dinner last Friday. We were waiting for ordered food for about 50 minutes. People at the neighbor table were waiting for about an hour. When we complained about service we received unethical comments about our nationality from waiters. When food eventually arrived it was good, but it does not taste the same tandoori as in other Indian restaurants, it tasted more like boiled chicken. At the end the abnoxious waiter brought the bill and said that we had to write a 20% tip. This was unbelievable. There are plenty of good India restaurants in the area, we definetely will never return to this one.
best indian eats for the price in irvine – We ordered takeout and really enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and very good naan bread. There are a couple of other Indian joints in Irvine that are more expensive, but this one is the best value for the quality of food you get. Totally recommended.
Wonderful! – I really love the buffet they have here! Its affordable and the food is great!
Brunch Buffet is delicious and cheap! – The only good thing about this restaurant is their brunch buffet but it is absolutely delicious! Their vegetarian selection is great. Pakoras, samosas, rice, naan, masala, gulab jaman .. it's all good. The ambience is relaxed with a mix of college students and business people. The waiters are attentive despite it being a buffet. On top of all that, it won't break your wallet. Parking is plentiful since it is located in a big plaza, although that might make it hard to find for first-timers. An Indian friend of mine who is very picky even loves this restaurant.
Unfortunately, their dinner does not reserve such high praise.
