Every night is the weekend at this bistro, where families enjoy American kitsch and cuisine alongside partying singles. – In Short
The much-copied look of hardwood floors, decorative stained glass, checked tablecloths, brass rails and walls filled with knickknacks has been a staple at this restaurant franchise. Originally a hit for its frisky bar scene, Friday's is now known just as much for its kid-friendly entrees. The menu alternates between typical American fare (salads, potato skins, Angus burgers and grilled chicken) and modestly international cuisine like fajitas, wraps and pot stickers.
Overall, pretty good – The service was very friendly, although a bit slow (our waiter returned only twice to refill our drinks and we had to flag down a waitress to get our tab and they were not busy the night we ate there). The food, overall was good. My baked potato was not cooked thoroughly, but the steak was good and my two dining partners thoroughly enjoyed their meals (1 steak, 1 baby-back ribs). The music was a little louder than I would've preferred, but overall the atmosphere was nice. The price was definitely reasonable (roughly $50 for 3 large meals, 2 iced-teas, & 3 domestic beers, including tip). On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 7 overall.
