Great steaks, great service. I've been to this D&H location a few times and have always found the service to be excellent (expected) and down-to-earth (unexpected). Steaks were always up to the quality standards the price demands. Easy seating during the week. I can't imagine a better place for a business lunch or dinner.

Holy cow. Two football greats score a touchdown with great steak restaurants.. The Scene
A masculine, clubby feel dominates the dining room. Look for white linen on the tables, even at lunch. In fact, this is often the scene of many of downtown's power lunches.

The Food
The meaty choices are presented to diners on a large tray prior to preparation. The nicely cut pieces of steak, chops and fish are so fresh that you could almost just stick a fork in them and start chewing away. (We recommend waiting, however.) Try the 12-ounce tenderloin filet or the 18-ounce New York strip. For a big piece of beef, go with the 30-ounce porter house. Chop lovers will enjoy the delightful lamb, veal and pork options. Don't miss the appetizer of barbecue shrimp, which are sauteed in a delightful Cajun-style butter. Desserts are also quite nice and your server will bring out a mouth-watering display on a tray to help make your choice even more impossible.

Serving Up a Winner. Jim and Dan have created a gem. The 12 oz filet mignon was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. The garlic mashed potatoes were great and I hate potatoes. The wine list was more than adequate and my shrimp cocktail appetizer was fresh and the sauce was spicy and interesting. The service was top notch. Don't get hung up on the price. We have it good here in St.Louis. You'd pay 50% more for the same thing in most large cities in America.

Great Food!. Great food in a wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone in the mood for a great steak or fresh seafood.
