President Casino art – I purchased the sculpture that was mounted to the wall of the upper deck, when the President Casino was auctioned. Date on it is 1928 and it is Baccus style of four dancing females. Have been trying to find some history on this piece. Any info would be appreciated. Ph. 314-603-1397.
i have a photo of the Admiral – i have a photo of the admiral that was taken between 1960 to 1973 and it was taken down the river front and i was wondering ig any on might want to buy this photo thanks
The Worst Casino Ever – The doorman at the President was very rude. For no explained reason whatsoever, he would not let my husband and myself onto the boat. He stated that we were "intoxicated." This was very interesting seeing as how we were not "intoxicated," nor acting as if we were. We are both very respectful people. I'm a nurse and my husband an engineer. We can only assume there were other reasons for his not letting us aboard the casino, perhaps his anger at working for sub-minimum wage. I would definitely not risk it and go elsewhere.
The other downfall of this casino is the limited tables. Although we did not get onto the boat on this particular occasion, we've been before. There are few blackjack tables compared to other casinos. We have been to many other casinos in the area - Harras, the Casino Queen, Amerisar - and all of them have proved superior to the President. They may have the best commerical, but it's by far the worst casino.
Not only do they have limited tables, the atmosphere is sub par. It smells like urine and is generally filthly. Do not waste your money in this disgusting establisment.
"President Casino - You come down here, you gonna have a really bad time!"
In addition to a prime spot in the city, this casino also has some unusual games. –
The riverboat that houses the President Casino was built in 1907 and has been known as The Admiral since 1940. It's docked in a premium riverfront location near the St. Louis arch.
The casino has the usual blackjack, poker and keno, but it has some unique games, too. For instance, an Illinois woman was playing the President's Triple Diamond Quartermania when she won almost $2 million, the largest quarter-slots jackpot in Missouri history. The President also hosts live poker tournaments. Join the Captain's Club to receive cash awards, complimentary meals, gift shop discounts and other privileges.
When you get hungry, line up at the President's Buffet. It features a prime rib and shrimp dinner each evening Sunday through Thursday, a Champagne brunch on Sundays and an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet on Friday nights. Seniors receive special benefits on Thursdays, such as a 99-cent hot breakfast in the Four Aces food court. --Melissa Martin
