No food/wrong food! – My husband and I stopped at this grill before a show at the Fox last week. We each ordered a starter and a meal. Tables seated after us were getting their food and we had not even gotten any of the appetizers. The waitress also took my water to refill it and never brought it back. I felt like we were being punked! After 40 min or so the waitress came to tell us the kitchen lost out ticket. We had only about 20 before we needed to leave for our show so my husband ask what they could have ready in 10 min or so because we were hungry. She stayed chicken wings. My husband ask if we could have boneless wings because we were heading to the show and didn't want to get gross. She stayed no problem. 15 min later the waitress brought out bone IN wings!! At this time I reminded her that about 30 min ago she had taken my water to refill and never brought it back! We asked for togo boxes and left immediately. The place was not busy at all!!!! Overall the place was dirty and the service so the worst I have ever experienced. I would go without food before ever eating here again.
shady and dangerous – I recently visisted this bar with a couple friends, knowing it was open to 3 a.m was our only reason for going there. The bathrooms were encrusted with vomit and had an overall dirty look to the place. After we left the bar we were waiting outside for a ride to come pick us up and a memeber of the barstaff pulled a knife out of his pocket and threatned to stab us. We saw some university cops and called them over for assistence but they were no help. He then assaulted two of my friends as we waited for our ride. I have been to quite a few bars in the St. Louis area and never have been treated this poorly. I would not reccomend going here it is dangerous and not a good enviroment
Smoker's welcome – Very rude staff. Bar food is ok, not great. A lot of smoke, so people don't give you an evil eye if you light up because everyone is. It gets crowded because of all the freshman and sophomores from SLU.
Smoky and Underaged – Bouncers are rude, and you can expect a hassle if there is an out of state ID. The food is typical bar grease. And the bar is sooo smoky its ridiculous. Rude staff.
Great place to go if you are underage, and like the 19-20 year old group.
Check Your Drink Before You Sip – I recently visited the Lacled Street Grill and was a little surprised by management. My friends and I decided to go to the bar to relax and enjoy good food as usual. Although the server was slow with service, the food was tasty and fulfilling. However, one of my pals ordered a drink and after a couple of sips she noticed that she had also received a complimentary fly. Well, we informed the manager who came over to our table and he offered another drink. My pal asked if the drink could be comped out of courtesy of almost choking on a fly that she didn't order and his response was "Flies always get into the drinks. Besides we made you another perfectly good drink". Well we were completely in shock and disgusted. We told him to forget the drink (and tip) and just give us our bill so we could leave. After that experience, I will be finding another bar to attend that has more alcohol and less insects.
The night scene at Laclede Street Bar and Grill is awesome from Thursday to Saturday night. However, if you are not looking for the Bar scene, I highly recommend going there for lunch or dinner. There Jalapeno pizza is excellent and their deals on small pitchers is awesome. During the day, it is okay to bring the family for some good bar and grill food. Also, it is a great place to go to watch the game with your buddies.
pizza and toasted ravs – The pizza is St. Louis style but done well. This is more than a cracker with cheese. The BBQ chicken pizza was good but the spinach pizza was great. T-ravs are made with sauage and cheese, a real split from the norm in STL.
