Best sandwiches in STL – Gioa's Deli will never disappoint. Yes, the hot salami is absolutely amazing, but don't get the idea that it is the only thing to get here. I have had every sandwich on the menu and they are all delicious. The Italian Trio is my hands-down favorite. The best Mortadella I have ever had.

Also, don't pass up the cold pasta salad and homemade brownies.

Famous for hot salami – Yes lines are long, plan accordingly, seating is limited, but I wouldn't describe it as shabby and the workers there are friendly and rock out as many hot salamis as come their way...just a fan sticking up for this GREAT deli. P.S. Tuna and lasagna are great. Try everything, nothing is disappointing.

Best Deli!!! – Delicious soups and sandwiches, and you always get more than you pay for. A quick, easy stop during weekday lunch breaks and a great casual spot for Saturday errand days too. Love it!

Best Subs on the HILL! – By far the best Hot Salami you will ever eat. Everyone is frinedly and the fodd speaks for itself. A must see if you are ever on the hill. Old Fasioned Italin charm, and oh yea the Subs are amazing!

Super subs! – Husband introduced me to this place during a recent visit to his parents. He used to eat there practically every day when he worked in downtown StL. Ok, so the place is pretty shabby, there are ridiculously long waits at lunchtime, seating is woefully inadequate, and the service is neither the friendliest nor the quickest ever, but the subs are to die for. The salami is sooooo tasty, and their Italian dressing is really different and totally delicious. We always make a point of going to Gioia's when we're in the area.
