Stay Away – I highly suggest to anyone considering doing business here to stay away. I had a pair of pants in for seam repair and pressing that came away with a hole in the knee. There is no chance they had a hole in them when they were taken in as I had worn them that day and took them in after work. In calling they were very rude and immediately dismissed the notion that they may have caused the damage. I will be taking my $90.00 a week in dry cleaning to a competent cleaner.
buisness responsiblities – 7 months ago I dropped off my wedding dress to be preserved. It was to be ready 3 months later. I called through the time frame to check on it, and it was not completed. January I decided that I was done waiting, It should not take 7 months to completed a preservation. I went to pick up my dress and asked for my money back, It was refunded. How do small home town biz think they will prevail against franchises? Very unhappy with my home town cleaners who I thought I could trust with one of my most important memories.
Just when I thought customer service at a dry cleaners was a thing of the past... – I have these beautiful silk pillows I gave my fiance when he bought a new living room suite. Unfortunately, his cat and teenage daughter liked them as well, and after a year they had some stains on them. I went to 2 dry cleaners who told me there was nothing to be done. I went to Yorkshire cleaners, and they explained (I believe the owner) why my pillows couldn't be cleaned, but he said if I left them, he would try to spot clean them for me. He also said they'd be finished by the afternoon.
Sure enough, I received a call mid-afternoon. When the message said I could pick them up, and there was no charge, I assumed that either they couldn't get the spots out, or didn't even try.
When I picked them up, I did see some of the spots remained. Upon closer inspection, however, I saw many of them were gone or much lighter.
Before today, I was not a regular customer at this cleaners (although, I will be now!). They owed me nothing; we did not have a professional relationship. The fact they went above and beyond when the previous dry cleaners simply told me they couldn't do it (one even chuckled), speaks volumes to me.
I am getting married in a few months and was getting ready to find a place to preserve my wedding dress for me. If they provide this service, you can be sure I will use them. With the attention to detail and pride in their work, I doubt I could go wrong.
