No diva stylists here!!! – I have been a client at Naturally Pure for the last 4 years. I had just

about had it with diva stylists that make you feel like you are lucky to be in their salon. i.e. Donnals!

Naturally Pure is the perfect mixture of style professional and fun. You come out feeling great because all of them are sweet and support eachother and they listen to their customers.

If you want something drastically different they are happy to advise you. Or if change is not your thing they will go with that, too.

They are also not pushy about selling products, either, which is so refreshing. If you want to look forward to spending your time getting your hair done go to Naturally Pure. And this is true for all ages!

Nice people, Poor style – I first noticed the lighting seemed more dim than usual for a salon. The salon was recommended by a friend, and the stylist was suggested based on my hair type. She made a suggestion while I stated "shag" is what looks best. I left with a box-type hair cut. My kids were mortified. After being able to see what I looked like in outdoor light in the car, I knew this was not any way near the picture she showed me. I came back and she kept cutting saying "is this what you mean?" She had comprehension difficulty and was losing confidence while asking for assistance from the owner, Amanda. Amanda seemed to understand what I was saying - "this isn't me and this doesn't look right", However, Amanda should have pulled the stylist and finished the job - instead she would cut a bit and then tell the stylist to finish it. At an Aveda Salon at this price level and recommendation, one would think the stylist could have comprehended - in hindsight I should have left, but how was I to know until the damage was done. I went from past shoulder length hair to short hair with no options other than to wait for it grow - 8 months to a year, or longer - who knows? I went back to my old stylist whom I did not have a problem with and he didn't have much to work with but at least made the style consistent as it was a combination of multiple styles - bowl, feathered, spiky, and way too short - no better way to show the age of a woman in her mid-40s and potentially up it through a bad haircut. To put it all in perspective, I have 3 young children who felt terrible to see their mom looking so different - so much so that my son is worried I won't have friends. I am okay with myself. But this haircut could put someone over the edge.

Lessons learned: I know my friend likes her stylist and it works for her, but my hair is different. Also, I have a new appreciation for my previous and current stylists - go back to those who really know how to cut and style, and who understand your individual hair type, facial structure, and styling needs.

One final thing, the stylist nor anyone at the salon has yet to give a call to see how the style is working - says a lot about their confidence - or lack of - in their abilities and service.

Naturally Pure – It can be really nice, but depends on who takes care of you. Nice set up, probably better if you are young and want a really trendy look. I guess you need to look at the hair of your stylist, but this is always the hard part of going to a new salon. Be careful if the thinning shears come out. I had one really good experience and one absolute disaster, ending up with some chunks less than an inch long.
