GREAT SERVICE.. – I took a pair of slacks in to be hemmed. The service was friendly, fast, and the finished work was very beautifully done. Now I know where to go for future alterations!
Fantasitc and Friendly! – would have to say that this was the best alteration and tailoring that I have every seen on a suit coat and pants! She was very friendly and knew a lot about how a suit should fit a man's body. Also, she took in my wintercoat, which also fits wonderfully! I would recommend this alteration store to any guy who needs his suit and pants altered, as well as your wintercoat. She was fantastic! I would definitely go there to get another suit tailored.
The Right Fit...The Wrong Choice! – I recently had a dress made for a special occasion. From the outset of the project there were problems...delays in getting the project started, repeated fittings for issues that had been previously addressed, and lateness in completing the dress. But I feel the largest difficulty was a lack of communication. The "fitter" was not the "seamstress" and therefore, I was not able to demonstrate directly to the seamstress exactly what I felt the problems were in getting the dress to "fit" correctly. After 5 fittings and a lot of stress, I made the decision to wear another dress for the special event. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a dress from Macy's "on sale" for a fraction of the cost of having my dress made. Although it was not my original color choice, it fit like a glove! For me, the Right Fit was definitely the Wrong Choice!
Miracle Workers! – Right Fit did an amazing job with an impossible request. In the Fall of 2006 I had a Japanese wedding. The groom was to wear a Kamishimo, which is a garment that is fairly uncommon even in Japan and is most always custom made for the occassion. The shape is kind of like a vest but with stiff shoulders much wider than it's wearer that are supposed to stick straight out to give an impressive presence. I purchased a pattern and bolt of one-of-a-kind vintage silk and had it imported from Japan, and found a seamstress in Ohio claiming expertise at making this particular garment. Well, less than two weeks 'till the wedding date the seamstress finally mails back the finished kamishimo. Apparently she had never made one with this kind of fabric, and the shoulders just flopped all over the place like dog ears! This is the only time during the whole wedding planning that I had to keep the groom from losing it. It was a total disaster. I brought everything in to Right Fit on the recommendation of a cleaner specializing in restoring vintage silks. They were reluctant to take it on, but I was so desperate that they agreed to give it a try. It took only a week to fix it perfectly!! The kamishimo has been hanging up since the wedding day, and the shoulders are still standing straight out two years later! Thank you Right Fit!
Terrible work – I had a bad experience at Right Fit. Not one of the items I had altered fit after the alterations, and I paid a lot for them. Two of the three pairs of pants were still at least a size too big, and the third was too small. What a waste!
