Pretty neat for kids – Took the kids to the Magic House the other day and it was better than expected. Lots of things for kids to do and learn. What better way to get the young brains working than to take them here. Many different areas to check out, but because it is a popular place it tends to be a bit crowded and you may have to wait to interact with the displays. Overall a good time. Check the local magazines at any hotel and browse through it. You may find a 2 for 1 coupon.
Big fun in the heart of small-town Kirkwood. – The Skinny
The Magic House is built for kids, but adults love it as much as they do. It's a completely interactive, always surprising collection of exhibits that show us how the world around us works. The dress-up areas are popular, as are the pizza parlour and grocery store with scanner and register.
Don't Miss These
Sit down on a wooden seat and pull yourself up with a pulley. Then see how much easier it is with two pulleys--or three. Capture your shadow in mid-jump on the shadow wall. Play with the delay in a telephone or make your hair stand on end with electricity. Fly down a slide built in the walls of the house. Catch and release magnetic fish. If school were this much fun, there'd be no need for recess.
Abracadabra. – The Magic House is really fun. Young and old alike enjoy the magic. Low cost.
Great for busy kids – All children will find something fun at the Magic House. It's filled with great hands on science experiments for the kids and worth the price of admission. Plan on spending a full day here and arrive early in the morning. Make sure not to miss the town where they have a home, bank, grocery store, pizza place, tv station and more that the kids can play in. The fishing pond is another favorite (magnetic fish). No food or drink is available here however so plan accordingly.
Oh, the memories! – As a grade-school kid growing up in St. Louis, this was my all-time favorite annual field trip. I'd love to go back and see how well it's aged. Do they still have the "touch tunnel"? The static-electricity exhibit? As I remember it, the Magic House is a really great educational concept that kids really love.
