Beautiful, Challenging Course – This course has it all; three times. Out of three 9 hole courses you have many chances to improve your game. The Woodlands Course is the most scenic and is full of high-risk/high reward blind shots. (Hint: Be sure to get on the fairway on 1&2, even if you need to use an iron from the tee) (Hint: On #6 [par 3], drop two normal clubs from the tee. Disregard the wind at the clubhouse as it often differs at the green) . The Prairie Course is the longest of the three, a more straight-forward design. Not much to look out for except on #9, you wont see the fairway bunker until you have to approach out of it. The Meramec Course is the shortest course of the three, and is a good confidence boosting course, while although it still offers boughts of frustration. After you play it once or twice, you get a feel for the courses, making them much simpler to play.
A Gary Player design and natural beauty team up for an unforgettable course. – The Scene
This is one of the most scenic courses in the area. Rivers, lakes and hardwood forests make the setting truly picturesque. To the natural beauty, add a Gary Player design, and you've got one heck of a place to golf.
Fair but Tough
Like all Gary Player-designed courses, players of every level will find a comfort zone here. Be warned. Despite this, Tapawingo was named toughest public course in the region. The course has also been named among the top 10 in the state of Missouri.
There are lots of unique holes, such as the one along the Meramac River as well as nearly all the Woodlands 9. While this course may be a little expensive by Missouri standards, it's still a great value for a place that is so beautiful, where the staff is friendly and the pace of play excellent.
Nice, really nice. – This is a nice coures worth a trip around. Played the Merimec and Woodland sides. Most risk reward shots need serious concideration as a miss is punished. It is a fun track.
