Good food, bad decision – I was very disappointed leaving Michael's tonight. The waitress spilled an entire glass of red wine on me within 5 minutes of us getting there! Wine was all over my white shirt, and my jeans were SOAKED- both thighs, crotch, around to my behind. The waitress was apologetic and I was understanding b/c I knew it was an accident. I sat there for the entire experience very uncomfortable in my soaked pants, but figured at least she'd comp my meal for my discomfort. All she did was take off $9 of wine! And it wasn't even my wine; it was my friend's! I never got a visit from the manager, nothing. Very disappointed. I guess I should've acted like a jerk instead of being nice about it. I still paid a $70 tab at the end of this uncomfortable experience.
Good, but not so healthy – The food is good and tasty. There is a lot of tempting fried foods and not enough variety on heatlhy alternatives. The Dolmades are delicious and somewhat healthy. The atomosphere is on the loud side. If you have anyone with a handcapp or elderly request the upstairs dining, if not there are many steps, which may cause a problem.
More than great bar food. – I started ging to Michael's when I moved to St. Louis in 1989. We would go there on Sunday's after softball, and from the very first bite of the Michael's Burger I was hooked. Their wings trounce Culpepper's IMO, and the gyro's are stuffed with tender juicy meat. I've never had a bad meal and am constantly introducing new people to the Best Burger in town. Great value and great flavors.
Great Greek! – I was told that that ribeye sandwich was the best and it is true! Not a bad price for such a great "sandwich". The portions are great, service friendly and we are going back. I highly recommend Michael's. St. louis has so many great places to eat and this is towards the top of the list.
Delicious food & friendly service - great value for great food! – The food was delicious, inexpensive, and authentic - fantastic in every way! Our waitress was very nice and maintained her composure and friendly, professional attitude even when tending to the needs of the grumpy, fussy old woman in the booth next to us. The tzatziki and pita were yummy as were the wings and Michael's salad! Four thumbs up from the happy dining couple - we'll be back!
love this place – I live in new york city now and make my parents take me here every time I come home to St. Louis. The Gyro Salad is the best and we love Gus!!
Best hummus and Greek salad in town!!! – A friend took me to Michael's last night, and I was beyond impressed with the food and the service. I am a hummus fanatic, and Michael's hummus was the best I've had in St. Louis. I had the Greek salad for dinner, and I loved that as well. The servers were attentive, and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely be back!
Best neighborhood grill – Absolutely the best casual restaurant in town. Consistently great food, friendly and prompt service!
BEST BAR&GRILL – Love this place! The food and service is great, fast & friendly. I was told about it from a co-worker and have been there atleast once a week for the past three months. I've never been to a place where everything I have tried has been great, from the Greek food to the hamburgers. Best greek salad in town. I'm addicted!!!
