Overpriced Indian Restaurant: – Food is fair, but far overpriced! Never been to such an expensive Indian restaurant, with an Ambience , much tobe desired !

Would not reccommend for even a first visit; Many others in OC do far better.Service needs tobe upgraded for sure!

Fabulous Food – The service was as good as I would expect for the cost, but the food was very flavorful. My husband said it is the best Indian food he has ever had and he's eaten Indian food from all over the world. I wish the tables would have been set further apart as there wasn't a lot of privacy. The tables are sort of packed in. The food was worth the wait. It was a bit pricey, but very high quality.

Good dinner place – They have a good selection of Indian food. Their tandoori paneer and bhindi masala was pretty good. The ambience is nice! The service was friendly.

An Exceptional Place! – I consider Mayur's to be the very best in Indian Cuisine. The chicken and lamb are perfectly cooked and served. The price is a little steep, but worth it if not once in a while!

Exceptional Indian Cuisine... for a Price – Mayur is tucked away in a quiet, pretty stretch of PCH. It has to be the best Indian food I've ever had (and I've tried many over the years). Fabulous Karai dishes, their Chicken and Lamb are prepared top notch. I have a sensitive palate, and many run-of-the-mill Indian restaurants can come across too heavy or greasy for me. But not so here! Very fine, subtle flavors, rich spices, but never too heavy or greasy! The only downside is the price. It can run ~$20-30 per person (no drinks), but it's nice for a date, or once-in-a-while . Great food!

The absolute best in the US – We go to Indian restaurants all over the world, including London, and Mayur is one of the

two best we have ever experienced. We are regular patrons of Mayur.

Solid New Delhi fare in a comfortable, family-friendly setting. – The Scene
A favorite with young families, this laid-back eatery has much to occupy little eyes, with colorful lanterns, turquoise curtains and a massive wooden mural intricately carved with Indian gods. Though the vibe is relaxed, the crisp white tablecloths and formal service make it a suitable destination for a Friday night date.

The Food
The appetizer platter, although heavy on fried foods like pakoras and bhajis, is a good introduction to the north Indian menu. The excellent spicy vegetable samosas make up for the lackluster vegetable dishes, like saag saneer. For entrees, stick to the meat dishes, particularly the tender lamb tikka, which is heaped on your plate from a sizzling iron skillet, and the rich lamb curry. The pizza-sized garlic naan is a must, as are the homemade desserts. Adventurous palates should try pistachio kulfi, a faintly chewy Indian ice cream topped with an edible silver leaf.
