sales person greeting – to all the dumbasses. when you walk into a retail business the sales people talk to you to find out what you are looking for.some of you idiots will spend 30 minutes walking around looking for items the store does'nt even carry. you idiot just wasted your time and the salespersons time.so the next time one of you idiots go into a store ask the salesperson where a certain item is. don't be a dumbass and waste our time.if you are really just looking to waste time, go to the grocery store, and pray to god a stocker doesn't ask you if you need help.or better yet just stay home and just look online.

Don't do it! – Kay furniture is NOT selling furniture for the customer, they only care about the money NOT the customer. This is not the place to go. They are only interested in GOING out of business.. We bought a new living room set, to find out we got the floor model with a bad cushion and no recorse basically SOL. We also bought a floor lamp that was brought out and set up broken, we were told to Jimmie it up to keep it from bumping the end table. They did take the broken lamp back, but not the $ 2,500 set we bought in good faith. It was also false advertising that so n so was retiring ~ ya right they knew they were going out of business. Who will stand behind the high dollar warranty we bought... What. A sad way to end your career. Wish we had NEVER walked through their doors.

DO NOT GET TAKEN HERE – We purchased a large set furniture here in September,2011. We were convinced to do so by the salesperson who got us to agree to have them pick up a next-to-new Lazyboy sofa for consignment. They even set the price for the used piece, and was convincing that this was the best way to "make room" for the new furniture. We have since found out that they held an auction in November, and sold our couch without paying us for it. We were never notified of the sale, nor given any opportunity to donate it or sell it in any other manner. We went personally to the store, and the person we spoke to woud not look up our transaction in their computer system, nor would she contact a manager that could. We were promised a return phone call on Sunday, which never came. I am not done pursuing this conversion of our property and will continue to attempt to find out what happened to our proceeds. They abolished their consignment department, but I wonder how many others lost what they had there. The store looks inadequately stocked, so I would question their financial standing if attempting to make a purchase here.

Avoid this place. – My husband and I recently moved to Smithville and needed some furniture so we went to shop at Kay's Furniture.

Immediately we were approached by a saleswoman like a used cars salesman. Even though we informed her that we wanted to look around she continued to follow us from a distance.

After finding a nice furniture set, we asked the sales lady for the price. We noticed that there were no prices on any of the furniture. This was a big sale with a bunch of price tags with red X's over a rediculously high prices. After asking the price, the sales lady asked us about how much we were wanting to spend. I made an offer she went to her sales manager he said no and came back with another price. This went on two or three times. WTF? Is this the market place in India?? We got irritated with these boneheads and went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and got an excellent deal. Moral of the story; If you like to haggle go to Kay's.
