Disgusting!!! – We arrived at 0230 on 03 June 2011, this bus station is worse then some 3rd world countries bus stations I've travel to and one of the worse I've been in the U.S. First of all there is zero security with homeless people/derelicts walking around all night brothering customers waiting for their morning bus, sleeping on the benches so everyone else had to sit on the floor, these so call people started disappearing around 6 or 6:30 when the employees started showing up, during the night there was a total of one employee in the building that we could see and he was serving a line of 10 plus people.

The bath rooms were disgusting, Mens restroom had no toilet paper and looked like it hadn't been cleaned all night, the Womens restroom was worse EVERY single toilet was clogged and couldn't be flushed and it appeared to have been last cleaned over Week ago, the entire station was filthy maybe new management should be in order.

The so called resturant had new hours posted stating they would be opened at 5AM however they did not open until 0530, and the staff is very unprofessional, the women behind the cashier was screaming and hollering the entire time, had a very nasty attitude, could not take a proper order, and charged more than the prices on the menu. Also why isn't there a sign stating that only breakfast is served during morning hours, if I've been traveling for 12 hours I might want a hamburger at 0530 since I've been up for 18 plus hours, they had a VERY limited breakfast menu.

The greyhound bus was ok the only problem I had was that it stop several times to let some passengers take a smoke break, I couldn't believe that Greyhound bus would encourage smoking.

Package Express – I/m in the Customer Service Business. This past Saturday, 3/19/11, I was in need of a part to repair a truck for a very important customer in Columbia, Mo. I checked the bus scheduld out of KC, Mo. and had my Corp. store in KC take the shippment to the terminal to ship on the 1:05, arriving at 3:10 in Columbia. When calling the local station at 3:10 and finding that the shippment had not arrived, we called the KC terminal, only to be told that the shippment did not get on the bus because she was to busy. I would have expected the shippment to make the next bus, but again I must have set my expectations way to high, because it didn't ship until 8:00am Monday AM. I tried called the KC station all day Sunday, and never got anyone to even answer the phone. I was prepared to drive to KC and pick the shippment up, but I was not for sure it would be in KC or Columbia by then. Regardless, everytime I use your company for your shipping service, I and our customers get disappointed and it ends up costing us money and extended down time. But I'm sure Greyhound expects to charge me the freight expense on a parcel that was late arriving almost 48hrs from the scheduled time, because someone was 'To Busy'. If I treated my customers this way, I wouldn't have any. Either get into the parcel shipping business, or get out. Ref you GLI#3061391311

Worst Experience of My Life – Employees at this location have no customer service skills whatsoever. They did nothing to help the people stranded in the Ice Storm on 01/28/10. I hope that I never come through this bus station again.

One Great Employee that Saved the Day! – I purchased a ticket to Huntsville, Al. The ticket was to be mailed to my address. I never received the ticket because the mailing address did not have a street name included. However, the billing address above the mailing address was the same address. The bill was received and paid, but no tickets were received. I called the main number (214) 849-8966 to let them know that I had not received my tickets and the woman on the line proceeded to tell me that it was my fault and that the mailing is done by computer. I said "I don't care why this happened I want to resolve the issue." She continued to drown on about the issue and finally said, "...there was nothing that could be done except to purchase another ticket." This ticket would be twice as much as the first because the ticket was not being purchased in advance. I said. "If someone, other than myself, is going to use that ticket they would have to show identification and the bus line would know the ticket was not their ticket." This didn't move any mountains. (uncooperative bad employee)

I thought that I would just have to purchase another ticket but called the bus line directly and the woman (I wish I could remember her name!) said your confirmation letter with the number and identification can be used to get your ticket. (Helpful employee)

My husband and I went to the bus station early and explained the situation to RUTH RAILEY she was great. She looked at the information and shook her head. She talked to her boss and they issued me a ticket. (Great employee)

I haven't traveled on the bus yet so I don't know what kind of an adventure this is going to be. I am taking the bus because my father will not fly. The airlines charge more for a one way ticket than they do for a round trip ticket. Go figure!
