Memorable, Unique Engagement Ring Experience – We have the most memorable, unique and special memories of picking out our engagement ring at Meierotto?s. Emily took the time to get to know me and my fiancee. She actively listened and brought out settings and diamonds that suited me and my taste. She caught the essence of my personality and values. It amazed me how she keyed into my likes and dislikes, getting to know me as a person and us as a couple. I ended up choosing a band setting that I never would have picked out for myself. Yet, when I put it on, my fiancee and I both said ?this is the one!? at the same time! The entire staff was helpful, warm and friendly. Emily is an excellent ambassador for their long standing family tradition of quality, customer service and facilitating wonderful memories for such a special time in our lives. I highly recommend Meierotto?s to any couple getting married or anyone making a jewelry purchase for a special life changing experience and unparalleled customer service.
great place to do business – Even though I live north of Sioux City, IA, 300+ miles from Meierotto,s, I have made at least 95% of my jewelry purchases from there since 1986. They have the lowest prices and the service has always been great. Carol always returns my phone calls and whenever I'm in the store she always takes the time to come over and visit. Since I am not what you'd call a big spender and I don't make frequent purchases, I have come to the conclusion that Carol is a genuinely good person that bends over backwards to keep her customers smiling. I know that I will continue to take my business there.
multiple bad experiences – More interested in the quantity of people they can move through the cash register vs. qualitiy of service. You get a number when you check in... and you feel like a number in the end. SEVERAL issues with service and repair... had to drive back several times. All encounters came with excuses, bad cust. service and price tags. Please go to someone who will treat you well AFTER you make a large purchase...not just when they are trying to get you to make the large purchase. Please read other reviews where people had issues... all very similar complaints. Not worth it!!
great jewelry store – We have been customers for years. We enjoy our visit every time. There is no need to go anywhere else for jewelry or watches or diamonds or anything jewelry related. Just stop by any time and the place is packed. They treat people fair and it shows by how busy the place is.
Never Again – Early June I brought my Rolex watch in for routine service work. I have had my watches regularly serviced through a variety of service centers with great overall experiences. The experience at Meierotto's was anything but great. Upon arriving my wife and I entered the store without the courtesy of a greeting from anyone. Only after others who came in after us had been helped did we realize we HAD to have a number to be served. When we finally had an associate to assist us I explained that I wanted my watch serviced and the crystal replaced. I was given a price (one that was 20-25% HIGHER than I had paid at others shops) and told it would be ready in 4-6 weeks. The turn around time was in line but as previously stated the price was out of line. At exactly 6 weeks I received a call that informed me the price was goiing to be higher because they needed additional parts. I expressed my concern about pricing and that previous serving had been an all inclusive price....not an add on here or there. With the additional expense they wanted to charge me, I would have been paying almost twice what I had previously been accustomed to. Not only was I being gouged on pricing the person who called was extremely rude, talking down to me as if I were a pennyless bum. At this point I did not authorize any additional parts and requested my watch be returned as soon as possible. I was told it would be ready in one week. I called at the end of that week only to be told that it wouldn't be ready for an additional week. Again the rudeness, it was if they could care less if I were a customer or not. I asked to speak to someone besides the repair clerk and spoke with 'Carol' who identified herself as the owner only after I pressed her for her position within the organization. After speaking with her it was clear that her attitude is reflected by her staff. At one point she said to me that it seemed like I just wanted to vent. Clearly this business believes that there are an endless stream of customers just waiting to spend their hard earned dollars with them. If you are having your watches serviced....do your homework first...this is not the place for warm appreciative treatment.
Worst retail experience I've ever had – A 1-star rating is generous.
NEVER have I been treated in such a rude and condescending way as I was at this store. The 2 sales people I dealt with were down right unprofessional. I left there in absolute disbelief at the entire episode.
Fortunately, when I returned home I was able to make one phone call and transact my business quickly, and with a better outcome, with a reputable and helpful jeweler in Johnson County. Perhaps common courtesy and customer service do not translate north of the river.
Meierotto's is definitely not worth the trip. I will take every opportunity I can to let people know what an awful experience this was.
Bad Experience – I took my 4 year old ring that I had made at another jewelry store that has three diamonds in a row into Meierotto's to be fixed because the center diamond had fallen out. ( I did not take it back to the jeweler that made it because if the stones are falling out after four years I sure in the heck didn't want them fixing it.) Meierotto's recommended that I go ahead and retip the prongs on all three diamonds and reset the center stone that fell out. I did and paid close to $200 for this. Less than 4 weeks later the center stone fell out again and I took the ring back and asked for them to fix it. They showed me that the ring had split in half directly under the center stone they had just reset and reprong and told me that in older rings that is normal and the ring must of had a hard impact to it. (This was not split 4 weeks ago when I originally took it into them to have repaired) I told them nothing had happened to it because nothing happened. I told the clerk to look at my finger, for that to of happened I would have a cast, or bruise and asked for them to fix it. They said that it would cost me almost $300 more to fix. I took the ring to a Jewelry Repair store in Olathe who does repair for many of the chain jewelry stores in the area and he fixed it for less than $100 performing the same welds as Meierotto's were going to do and he told me that it most likely split under the center diamond when the previous jeweler was remounting it using too much force causing it to split. If Meierotto's were a reputable company as they boast about then they should do a better job in training and educating their help. I guess it's hard to find good help!
Best Jewelry Store – This jewelry store has everything and at a great price. From small gifts to the most grand jewelry. My husband loves going there because he know that he can trust them to help him select something out of this world.
