You do get what you pay for, but it seems I had a better experience than the other reviewers. Made a reservation online and the woman that checked me in was courteous. The "breakfast" was juice, and toast and pastries. Good in a pinch. Close to the airport. Room was basic, budget, but clean.
I used the Econo Lodge parking option while on a cruise. Price included parking and shuttle service to and from the airport. Close to the airport. I was a little nervous as one of the cars I parked by did have a flat tire but our car and our friends car was in the same condition as we left it in.
I stay at this Econo once a week, have been doing so for a year or so. Although it is not opulent, it is very convenient to the airport, has excellent shuttle service to/from the airport and auto rental facility, is quiet, and the price is the best in the area by far. I have gotten to know the management and desk staff and am treated with courtesy and consideration. As a business traveler interested in ready access to early morning flights, this hotel is my first choice.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had all needed soaps and shampoos. The A/C worked very well, it was all electronic and kept the room a nice 65 degrees all that humid night. The room didn't smell like smoke, and the next morning, I didn't get the breakfast but got something on the way in to the airport. All in all, this place is just fine
This is a reasonable choice for a hotel at and ideal for Kansas airport. Staff friendly and helpful gave me a ride to collect my rental car.
If you are looking for a basic clean room to stay in that's close to the airport, this is the place. I'd pre-paid for the room to get a rate of $36 at night. After having an hour-long flight delay, having to rush to the rental counter to pick up a car, this place was a wonderfully close place to grab some sleep for the night.
While the room may have lacked a coffee maker it was only a short walk down to the lobby to get coffee. I'm sure there were some muffins or something out there for breakfast, but we opted to head out and found a McDonalds a couple of exits down on the freeway.
Great value, senior rate of $36 plus tax. But still a nice clean, safe place. Had a no smoking room, and everything was clean and worked well.
I had to stay overnight before traveling on to my ultimate destination, and Econo Lodge was exactly what I was looking for: Inexpensive, close to the airport, and with free shuttle service to and from the terminal. If that is what you're looking for, I can recommend Econo Lodge.
