Best Eggs Benedict & Apple Sausages! – Plums has the best eggs benedict, with their chipotle hollandaise, and their apple ketchup to go with their breakfast potatotes. Another recommendation is their creme brulee oatmeal- it is like eating dessert. I always get a side of their apple sausages and split that with my husband, and we always order the eggs benedict. I cannot comment on any other dish, as I always promise myself that I would get soemthing else, but cannot bring myself to forego the usual. The long wait on the weekends are worth it! TIP: Do not sit indoors- it is stuffy and crowded. Always eat in their outdoor patio- the beautiful morning sun, a cup of hot tea and a steaming egg breakfast cannot be beat!

OK food - not what I expected - somewhat overhyped – In our quest to find a breakfast spot to "call our own" - we decided to try Plums. Everyone we know said - "Oh - it's incredible". BEFORE we went there.

Now everyone says - "Oh - go there for the pumkin soup" or "Oh, don't order THAT!".

Unfortunately, we didn't see the Editorial Profile's mention of the french toast. They were dead on - it's NOT good. Then again - nor was the overpriced mound of "alderwood smoked salmon hash". In reality - a bunch of severly undercooked potatoes, peppers and onions, covered by a package of smoked salmon and some eggs with hollidaise sauce. You'd think that would be incredible. Think again.

My suggestion - go for lunch in November and have the pumpkin soup. EVERYONE seems to agree on it.

Use to be my favorite – what has happened to Plums!?!?! I use to go to brunch here every Sunday and would come for lunch all the time.. with family, friends and clients. I would still say the menu is above average.. but the food has gone down in quality. My eggs are runny now.. i only get one piece of toast now, you have to beg for ketchup, and my boyfriend ordered a the turkey avocado sandwich that came with no avocado! They use to have endless champagne brunch on the weekends for an added $5.. they took that away and limited it to 4.. now it is 1 mimosa for the discounted price of $5.. like that is a deal? I have basically stopped going here except is someone else wants to go.... the only positive thing now is that there is no longer an hour wait on weekends

best brunch, best breakfast – It's so yummy that I drive 40 miles to Plums Cafe almost every Sunday for brunch. I have had almost everything on the menu but my absolute favorite would have to be the lemon meringue waffles; although everything is scrumptious! The only thing is the 45 minute wait if you get there after 10 am. If you can get up and there before 9 am then you can get seated right away. Definitely worth the drive and the wait!

Dutch Baby - Gigantic Yorkshire Pudding – I have only been here once, but I will definitely be going back. I got the Dutch Baby, which turned out to be well worth the 20 minute wait. It is basically a giant Yorkshire Pudding, if you know what that is (a pancake that is cooked with a grease dropping in the middle so the sides rise into a bowl shape) but lemon curd is used in the middle instead of the Yorkshire Pudding's traditional fat or butter. It is served with powdered sugar, fresh lemon, and both are excellent. It is somewhat embarassing when it comes to your table, because it is HUGE, but it was so good that I ate it all. Service was also great. Our waiter was very friendly and chatty, and even let us bring the Diedrich coffee's we had just gotten in to our table. If weird shaped pancakes arent your thing, dont fret. Everything (especially the omlets) looks terrific, and everyone I know who has ever been to Plum's has rave reviews. Keep in mind that this is no IHOP though, and breakfast can easily be $10-$15/ person.

Citysearch Editorial Review – An urbane atmosphere, with exposed brick, colorful oil paintings and a glass wall that lets in lots of natural light, nearly makes up for the earsplitting noise level. For a quieter setting, sit on the popular patio, sheltered from the adjacent parking lot with potted pines. The outgoing staff aims to please and friendly diners even offer each other tastes. Breakfast and lunch dishes take inspiration from owner Kim Jorgenson's Oregon home. Whenever possible, ingredients like salmon, bacon and hazelnuts are flown in from the Pacific Northwest. For breakfast, opt for the enormous Dutch Baby pancakes. The thick, coconut-crusted French toast is dry and egg-starved. Midday, a creamy chowder bobbing with chunks of alderwood smoked salmon and diced potatoes and the club sandwich, updated with Oregon pepper bacon, are satisfying choices. Sweet tooths should scope out the glass case filled with fresh-baked cookies, scones and tarts.
