Extremely terrible customer service, the manager is abbreviated, obnoxious, condescending and rude. In July 2013, I went in the store and bought a piece of furniture. The sale rep was about to put it inside me car, I told him it wouldn't fit, he said yes it would, and he called two of his associates to help him put it inside, I said to them again, "it won't fit", but they forced it inside the car and then the door couldn't close, they then begun to pull it out, at that point they broke my console, they immediately told me that they could take care of it, that the manager would take care of it not to worry. They eventually put it on top of my car which I've told them to do from the start. They took my phone # and said they would call me when they get the part, because they have someone who can fix it so it won't be a problem. I have called them once per week for the past two months, they told me they found the part on eBay and have made a bid, then when I called back the following week they said they lost the bid. This has been the excuse for the past two months. Finally I went into the store and the manage told me he didn't have anything to do with it, that I must let my insurance fix it because I was the one who insisted that they put it inside the car. I got upset at this point and he threatened to call the police. He gave me a card and said I should call the owner, I left the store and called the # on the card, the # rings back to the same Riverdale store, I asked the lady who answered the phone for the corporate # or the owner's # and she said they didn't have one than she asked me to hold on. At this point I went back inside the store to see the phone laid aside and they were all sitting down.
Bottom-line-for over 2 months they made me believe that they were working on finding the part when they weren't. And now being face to face they flat out said they weren't.
To make matters worse, the piece of furniture that I bought from them, which was a child’s bed, is already broken. It looked good and firmed when it was in the store, but I had to use a lot of Gorilla glue.
Don’t be like me, the poor customer service was obvious from the start, but I ignore it because I like the child’s bed that I saw, BIG mistake. I lost both ways. No good furniture, and no good service.
PISSEDOFF#4 – Im soooo pissed off at this place i took my cousins advice and went to look around was some nice things,so im like okay i go w/ it not knowing the "service" was going to be HORRIBLE! my sales rep was Ms Linda she was nice i spoke to Ron on 1st visit so anyway i make my purchase March 12th and asked for a delivery on March 30th. Thinking its enough time to get furniture delivered to new place why havent i gotten any merchandise it's April 5th.. so this driver name Wesley "supposedly" have drop it off never made it to my home im pissed,all he kept sayin is he's in Collge Park i dnt care i want my stuff.. So i called nxt day spoke to Ron & Linda oh we doing all we can to get it out dat sucka didnt even tell them he didnt bring it out plus he left my stuff on truck at another location!!!!!!!!!! im like are u serious?? I get my stuff and its the way it should be when ordered " I WILL NEVER GO BACK NOR REFER ANYONE" BAD FOR BUSINESS ALL AROUND THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do NOT purchase from Unclaimed Freight on HWY 85 – How i wish i had read Keisha and Tamiko"s reviews BEFORE i made my purchase. It seems I went to the store shortly after they did. HOR-RI-BLE!! I made my purchase on Saturday, March 3 and still have not received my entire order. Here goes........RON was also our salesperson. We ordered a dinette set and ordered two extra chairs. Delivery would have been Monday but we were told that since we ordered extra chairs, delivery would be delayed until Wednesday. They arrived on Wednesday WITHOUT THE EXTRA CHAIRS!! Ron said they would bring the chairs out on Saturday. Late Saturday, called Ron, "Where are my chairs?" He went into a song and dance about having to fire the delivery company because of problems they were having with them but they were trying to work it out bcuz they were down to one delivery company. I mentioned that the table had a huge scratch. He said that's what I'm talking about. He guaranteed that they would be there the next day, Sunday. No chairs!! my husband went by the store one day the following week. He told them he wanted them to deliver the chairs and bring him a new table. Saturday, we did not hear from them. Called Ron Sunday. He said the chairs were on the way. We found out on Sunday at 7pm that Ron called the delivery guy when we called him. Well who should walk in to deliver the chairs but the guy that Ron told me that they had fired. So they brought the new chairs and took the table. Called Ron. New table will be delivered on Wednesday, no wait...Thursday. I called the store on Thursday at 7:12pm and was told that your table is on the way. The guys have it and are out there delivering. They may have gotten held up, but they are on their way. Well it is now. 9:45pm Thursday night and I still do not have my table. It has now been 19 days since i walked into that store. I read my receipt. NO RETURNS, only exchange. I will tell everyone I know not to shop at that store. Horrible service, horrible service, horrible service! I will NEVER purchase anything from them again! I am also trying to locate a Corporate Office so that I can give them an earful. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM UNCLAIMED FREIGHT ON HIGHWAY 85!!!!
Unclaimed Freight Nightmare – I recently purchased a bedroom set from this store .I agree with the other person this was the worst experience I had with getting my furniture .And also my sales person was Ron .The first problem it took 2 weeks for me to get my furniture delivered and I had to call to make sure they were coming that day .I had 2 calls regarding delivery the first one they chipped the dresser and they had to order another one then the dresser was on the truck the day it was suppose to be delivered for the 2nd time .The day it was suppose to be delivered I had to call to make sure .That day they brought it they did not set it up and they charged me 80.00 for delivered when it was suppose to be 75.00 driver say he did not have any change.I was putting the bed up and realize that they sent a black headboard and a cream footboard .Called the store and spoke with the rude manager Johnson regarding the matter .And he was so rude and advise that he cant get another one out until the next day .Because it was busy because it was tax season.I advise I will be contacting Corporate regarding the mess that they have at that store in Riverdale .My first and last purchase from that store
Worst experience ever! – I recently purchased a bedroom group from Unclaimed Freight. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had with a furniture company. I ordered an Ashley bedroom group (including chest & media chest). I ordered this specific item because it had everything I wanted within my budget. When the items were delivered it was minus 1 chest. I spoke with the salesperson & he said that he assumed that I didn't want the item & neglected to put it on the receipt. I told him I wanted them to come back to get the bedroom group & he told me that they weren't going to & that there were no refunds. Not only did I get cheated but when they delivered the items they did not set it up (per the delivery charge) & would not come back to do so until the next day. Meanwhile my husband & I had already taken down the set we already had. They also sent the wrong color bunkbeds I'd ordered (I asked for white & they sent brown). When I spoke with the salesperson Ron...he not only neglected to to attempt to resolve any of the issues; he also made no attempt (as promised) to call me back to resolve the situation amicably. Please...pay the extra $100 or so to get what you want & if you are not satisfied with the service you can cancel it all together.
