Always Fun – Everytime I go to The Underground I have a great time. The people always cater to my friends and I needs. The crowd is great. For a single guy or girl this is the Place to be. Music is always great!
awesome – My fav place to chill and enjoy a Thursday night and you never know who you can bump into in bottle service. very cool but small, great music!!
Overpretentious bouncers in girl scout uniforms – I liked the music, drinks, and crowd for sure, but the people that work there think they're actually Billy Dec. The bouncers think they are so cool for earning those $10 / hour. The managers seem to only pay attention to the women and treat the guys like garbage; I like the fact that women are a priority but the men spend the real dough there. It was a cool environment but the male employees there are total douchers.
Best VIP experience – When I went to the underground for the first time, I was immediately hooked. When they say everyone here is a VIP, their not lying. one of my favorite aspects of the club is that its never too crowded, and you can always get a drink at the bar if you decide not to do bottle service. Great night. Will go back again, Once a week.
Friday and Saturday night place to be – Getting in can be tricky if you don't have a connection. Though it's well worth the wait once you make it Underground. Unbelievable music pumps from the speakers from open to close. Mingle with some of Chicago's best looking up and comers!
A RANDOM DUDE LICKED MY FACE – Yeah.. i was walking to the bathroom and some random guy came up to me and licked my face the whole side of my cheek. Before I could even knock him or scream or even have any kind of reaction to it, the bouncer saw the whole thing happened. I thought ok awesome this guy will take care of it. NO he came up to me and took my drink away and told me to calm down and stop freaking out before I could even freak out which made me even more upset. I tried to talk to the manager but he wouldn't even let me explain the situation at all, not even get a word in. he was speaking a mile a minute so I yelled at him and got thrown out. yeah. that really happened.
First Class – great venue. upscale drinks and great service. The lollapalooza after parties were amazing and the crowd was loving the talent that brought into the place. I would definitely go again
Save your money...go to O'Calahan's – My girl and i went down to celebrate with some friends who were holding a launch party. I wish we had read these reviews before we left because the negative ones pretty much summed up the experience we had at the door. Got there at about midnight, noticed the line outside but figured it didn't matter since we were on "the list." The doormen informed us that they were at capacity and we had to wait list or not. Okay, no problem with being safe, except immediately after, the doorman let in a group of girls. We left and went to O'Calahan's up the street instead and enjoyed great service along with an apparent huge savings over the Underground.
WORST BAR IN CHICAGO – Every positive review on this site was obviously written by a staff member. This place is a joke. If I want to spend a grand in one night to have a miserable time I would rather do it at a place with, I don't know, AIR CONDITIONING? The staff was nice to me but incredibly rude to my friends (they were also ridiculously negligent) and the place is so overcrowded you can't enjoy anything that's going on. It's way overpriced for how crappy it is. Don't waste your money, everything about that place is a ripoff
BEWARE!! EXPENSIVE!!! STAFF IS RUDE!!! NO DANCE FLOOR!!!! TINY PLACE!!!!!! – This place is SMALL, OVERPRICED, NO DANCE FLOOR. If you dont spend $600 on a small wooden box (because they dont even have TABLES)!!!! DONT even bother going because you will only stand in the corner being pushed and shoved by everyone trying to get to the 1 and only small bar they have. We went to celebrate my sisters 21st B-Day and reserved a $600 dollar crappy wooden box on the floor, she reserved it for 10 people which they never let any of her guests in because the bouncers are idiots and over packed the place with people who dont reserve ahead of time. The staff also pulled my sister into the alley to give her a sobriety test expecting her to be sober on her 21st B-Day. STAFF IS INCREDIBLY MEAN AND RUDE!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GIVE THEM OUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
