Came here when I was in Boston. I had a clam chowder and a lobster. All fresh and delicious! I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Boston.
I frequent the No Name at least once a week for lunch with the office guys.
I always get swordfish, sole, or scrod broiled without butter, double vegetables and no cole slaw. The portions are generous. I've never had a bad meal here. The Boston creme pie I have here, once a year, for my birthday is delicious. I've tried almost all their desserts and all are excellent. The pies are served warm with ice cream. The coffee here is so good. I always have a cup or two. The wait staff is entertaining. The owner and his family are lovely. From the son to the mother to the uncle.
I grew up having No Name a few times a month, because my mother had worked at a near by bank. Now that I live near Philadelphia, I always try to make time to have No Name when we're in Boston. The fish is always fresh and the price is so reasonable.
I have been going there since 1955 and always enjoy the chowder, broiled fish, lobster and homemade pies.
We go there whenever we are in that neighborhood.
great lobstah roll, very expensive. A bit of a tourist trap I suppose, but worth the experience for sure.
referred to us by two Bostonians. Fresh seafood. Sautéed combo has everything but a little overdone and blend. But again fresh is the key word here so can't complain too much. Don't do fried fish sandwich because it's way too blend. Samuel Adams on the tab is good ( called something like a red brick). Ice cream is a joke, no taste and costs $4.50. Guess that's their tourist trap (my 8-year old's words). My friend ordered broiled lobster (with many other sea items on the plate) and it tastes good. Fresh cole slaw and fresh fries.
The No Name is a wonderful place to get a great fish dinner at a very reasonable price.
Always have the seafood chowdah! This is the best seafood in the USA :)
Came here on a business trip and was advise by a friend to come here. Glad we did; awesome food, big portions. The lobster is great and really well priced!
Pass on this one ....really!!! – The local tour guides recommend this restaurant. The seafood chowder was packed with bland mushy over cooked white fish and two small shrimp. The coleslaw had no flavor; the grilled seafood platter was disappointing with one scallop, two small shrimp, over cooked small pieces of sword fish, scrod and salmon. The 12 oz. can of diet coke was warmer than the french fries. The kid’s hamburgers appeared to be a Sysco Food product, they were large, reported to be dry and bland.
This is your classic tourist trap restaurant, the locals push and promote it, few locals ever eat there, this place is all about quick through-put, friendly enough employees, remember to bring in your parking lot ticket in for validation.
