I initially had an issue with the movers but Stephanie Wallace from management called me and the issue has been resolved to my satisfaction
A BIG MISTAKE TO USE THIS COMPANY!! You guys are completely dead on! I helped a friend try to salvage any chance of having movers actually come and perform what had been paid for. Despite her having made the reservation a month prior, they did not dispatch anyone to her on the move date. She called back and a second move date was given for roughly a week later. This date came and went and she ended up asking for a refund. At this point, she was stuck, had no one to help her move, and could have made many other choices for moving companies if she had been aware of their practices.
You are all absolutely right about trying to get anyone on the phone. BTW, all of the extensions have been changed as of today, so if you'd like the NEW extensions, let me provide them:

There are more, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head given that I have been attempting to make anything happen with them for the last few days.
You will give information, but not receive information. The information given to you will either be a simple lie, or it will only contain one detail at a time that is useless without other information.

I had never hired moving help and I recommend it to any father like me because it makes moving a lot easier. I hired Neighbors because someone told me about it, and the price was fine for me. It took about 5 hours for all of our stuff to be in my new condo, and I didn't have to worry about much. It was worth it.
BAD MOVERS-NO TIP FOR YOU!!! – IT SEEMS THE ONLY GOOD REVIEWS ARE THE FAKE ONES.With all these bad reviews how do they stiil rate 4 .5?? Yahoo you got some splainning to do!!

There is not enough space here to describe how dissatisfied I was with Neighbors Moving & Storage as an entire company.

But the short story for this forum:
I booked a move with Neighbors because I was on a budget. I had seen some not so great reviews, but I assumed that like everything there is both good and bad. I called and spoke with several of their people and all of them said "It is other moving companies trying to discredit us." That should have been a red flag. They all had the same story. They were trained in at least one thing...deception. Obviously they are having their own employees posting how good the company is because there is no way.
I wish I would have listed to the bad reviews. I paid dearly for my mistake, both fiscally and emotionally. By the time my things arrived FIVE DAYS LATE I had jeopardized a new job, was living in NYC with nothing but an aero bed I had to purchase when I got there and no clothing or toiletries. No one would tell me where my things were as Neighbors hired my move out to a rinky dink company called South Moving Transportation.
No one from either company was helpful and I kept getting the run around about when my things would be delivered even though I had paid $300 extra to get my things here by Jan. 6. My mom had flown out to help me and I had booked a hotel. I had to pay for another hotel room and a new flight for my mom and neither company has offered reimbursement.
I have complained and called and emailed their people. Vans J., Chris C., Jay M., Prunette B., and Giselle H. I have correspondence (well lack thereof on their part because they would not respond) proving everything so please message me if you are interested in this proof.
Do Not book with these fiends. I have never felt more emotionally raped and vulnerable because of what those companies put me through.

Supposedly the truck broke down but no one would tell me where. I was told Vans would be my personal moving consultant and I could call him but he never answered or responded to emails. Please save yourself time and money and hire a legitimate company.
Basically they sub-contract your cross-country move out but don't tell you the company they sub-contract you out too until it is too late to do your own research on the new company and cancel your contract with Neighbors. It is a severe deception. Then, when you have problems, they do not assist you whatsoever. Beware of the fast-talking Jay M. and Vans J. Giselle H. in Customer Service basically lied to me via an email saying she opened a claim and would contact me. It has been two weeks. I have emailed her twice more and left her a voicemail to no avail. SAVE YOURSELF RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT USE NEIGHBORS MOVING AND STORAGE – Do not waste your time! Horrible Customer Service and the Logistics Coordinator Vans Johnson, cannot coordinate a long-distance move.
This company sounds really great, but its not worth your trouble.

Good Movers Helping!!! – There is nothing better than having good movers helping you relocating to the place you finally acquired, because a good moving company like neighbors assures safe items, big trucks, prepared crews and helpful extra services which ease the process. BEWARE! Not the kind of service you want. – I regret the day I called Neighbors Moving & Storage. What a nightmare! Moving is stressful enough, but they made the event so utterly horrible, I cringe at the thought of it all. I should have known by the loud, fast-talking ways of the sales rep, Jay Mays, that I was headed for trouble. I only called for a quote, but he shmoozed and cajoled so well, I believed the lies he was telling -- how good the company is, how they care about my move, blah, blah, blah. What a crock! I'm no stranger to moving, and had done some research, but clearly I had failed to dig deep enough. The company was very attentive while the credit card transaction was going thru, but after that, I couldn't get ANYONE on the phone, and when I tried to call, I was immediately transferred to voicemail. Moving day arrived and NO ONE had called or followed up. The clerks who did take the time to pick up the phone--Eli, Alfred and Shelby did little to assist. I kept getting transferred to voicemail. I sent multiple emails and left countless voice messages and nothing! When I did speak to two people, Vans Johnson and Prudette Bennett, they were rude and gave me lip service. No action behind the words! My pick-up didn't take place until 2 days after the scheduled date! I had to delay reporting for a new job because of Neighbors Moving. I've never felt so helpless and shafted in all my life. I had paid my deposit and my money was in their hands, but no services--not even a phone call was received. STAY AWAY FROM NEIGHBORS MOVING & STORAGE--their business practices are more shady than a forest full of redwoods. You will have less stress moving each piece of your furniture on your back one item at a time.
very happy with the service – Even though they were a ''WHOLE DAY LATE'' i was so angry but they guys were very profesional and all my things were accounted for and not broken and my final balance was about 132$ lower than i expected so all in all i would say I'm impressed with how they handled everything iam not exactly the easiest person to please so as promised here is a good review for you guys you earned it Thanks again, oskar ,Jay mays and the whole team at neighbors il be moving again in fall of 2013
SCAM COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT – RUN AWAY, THEY ARE DISHONEST AND RUDE These oh so wonderful reviews about this unscrupulous company, aka NICE GUY MOVERS also MOVING AND STORAGE Inc must not be believed. Do you homework and find out the truth on Rip off Report or the BBB and see how their actual customers who have not been "moved" really feel about their services. They take your deposit, don't show up or call. And if you dare call to find out about it you are hung up on and spoken down to. Like I said DO YOU HOMEWORK, these reviews are not the real story. The truth is a mouse click away. RUN RUN RUN! you will lose money from the days off from work trying to reschedule with a REAL moving company.
