Booked this with Groupon, and was extremely disappointed. The location was hard to find, and a cell phone number to one particular masseuse was the 'business' number..which I found odd. I also found it painful when I tried to call and got a VM while trying to find the place. I had to actually pull over, and google the actual business number, then call it.

I'm a seasoned massage customer, though this was the first/only time I've been here. The place had cheap carpet, wood paneling, and was right next to Gravois where I could hear sirens and other gas guzzlers while getting my mediocre massage.

So let's get to that. As a avid massage goer, as stated, I know most massages start with a light touch, as to not startle the customer. Not so here. He put a hand on my chest and rammed a hand under my shoulder blade with no lotion and started rubbing. I guess I should be happy he rubbed a little, b/c most of the time he did this 'myofascial' release thing, which were 'stretches' that really didn't feel like it stretched anything..and he would hold them for ridiculous amounts of time. It seemed like he was using them as time wasters, if you want my opinion. (this was a 90 mins massage)

I work in a physically demanding field where it's important that certain knots be rubbed away..which takes place during a deep tissue massage, which is what I asked for. He went over the knots, sure, and he knew they were there b/c he would let out a 'whew' when he passed over them. Did he work on them though? No. When rubbing my feet, never touched toes. (and my feet are clean and manicured)

It just seemed that he gave it 40/100, and tried to drag the time out with silly movements. At one point, he rested both hands on my shoulder blades, applied zero pressure, and let it rest there for several minutes. I almost interrupted him and said something, and maybe I should have.

He lacked finesse, used very little oil/lotion which felt like my skin was ripping off, and he didn't do what I had asked him to. The only massage that was more disappointing to me than this was 15 years ago. She was a very large lady and her panis (large belly) rested on my back and she rubbed me. But at least she got the knots out.

Good luck to all, but my advice would be not to go here
