In some respects dining alone can be just the thing - but when dining out a little ambience is welcome - compensated for by excellent service and fine food - Will deff come again Thank you.
5 stars - great service. Everyone is very friendly and tentative, food tastes amazing!
The food and service were both fantastic! We will definitely be back!
This picturesque setting makes for memorable family meals, wedding receptions and anniversary parties. But if you simply want a good view coupled with some high-class fare---even a burger---the inn should be part of your regular dining-out forays. Yes, it’s a bit pricy, but the revamped menu with its emphasis on casual American fare makes this a fine-dining destination. Lunchtime includes a burger with apple wood-smoked bacon, the crab cake BLT, smoked turkey Cobb salad, and---for a bit of hominess---meatloaf. Dinnertime yields heartier entrées, many with a Latino touch, including grilled ancho-citrus rubbed hanger steak and cumin-and-coriander dusted tuna loin. The lavish brunch offering will satisfy even the fussiest eater, with such choices as waffles, pancakes, poached chicken salad, omelets, breakfast meats, a carving station, and a host of cakes and tarts.
We have eaten at the Comus twice in the past two months, and it was great. We had a truly amazing Chicken Tamale entree, wrapped elegantly in a corn husk basket, but also in a banana leaf inside, with a fabulous chimichurri like sauce, that ranked with the best we've ever eaten. It was authentic and alone is worth a visit The service was fine, too, and the Maitre d' was charming. Then we went back for a Friday Happy Hour, and the young musicians - singing jazz and motown music - were great, made us (and everybody else!) dance, and the bar menu was fine, too, with good choices of finger foods and really affordable prices. Someone must have a beef with somebody to be posting smack about this place - it's a treat. This is my wife's favorite place, and we will be regulars!
